“This store reminds me of all the corner drug stores that we still had around in the 80s- early 90s. Very nostalgic. Fits right in with the vibe of this area, which is the only “dive” neighborhood in Door County. Make no mistake, that is just the style, because Ellison Bay has pizza & Italian, shopping etc. it just looks more rustic and rural.When you walk in, Pioneer has a creaky screen door, the sound and feel of which I forgot I loved from all those years ago. There is something more human to the experience, something with a soul instead of being so sterileMake sure you stop here”
