“If you like old style lumber yards, this is your place! Brother and sister showed me around and answered questions. They were both McCormicks - 3rd generation! I picked up some sitka spruce. Beautiful wood. They are known for specialty boating wood (e.g. okoume plywood and sitka spruce) amongst the standard array of lumberyard materials. This lumberyard is WELL WORTH the visit!”
“Daniella was great. She’s a daughter of the owner of this old time family dealer. I asked her if we could arrange everything by Messenger and then I would ride out there to close the deal. She accommodated this request without pressuring me to come in first.
I rode my trade in scooter over 100 miles to use this dealer. I like the lack of BS fees and was glad to support a family business.”
“Top-notch selections and customer service! Amy and Spring go above and beyond to help you find the right product line, style, and finish to match your vision, overall design, and color scheme. It's important to note that this is a small business and specialty shop. Therefore, is clearly stated on the website/front door/business hours that appointments are required. I noticed some negative comments on reviews and, honestly, I'm not sure what is so hard for people to figure out(?!) -- their appointment policy is clearly spelled out and in place for a reason, in order for them to provide their full attention when working with you on your project. Amy knows her product lines better than anyone else around and will give you expert advice regarding design, quality and best available options, whether you are seeking high-end or more mid-range/affordably-priced pieces. Amy and Spring each helped us immensely in selecting cabinet pulls, door handles/knobs, and coat hooks that would match our desired finish. They were both lovely to work with and so generous with their time. Hardware Studio is a clearly a Madison gem!”
“Appreciate the convenience of Niemann's in DeForest. Able to get what you need without needing to drive to Sun Prairie. Store tends to be pretty quiet and employees are easy to find if needing assistance locating anything specific. They also keep the shelves well stocked.”

“Great place! Needed to buy Purina Outlast for my horse. Oregon feed store and Tractor Supply are the only ones that stock it besides Middleton Farmers Cooperative.
Oregon feed store is 25 minutes from my house, Tractor Supply is even further. Plus TSC never actually has it in stock!!
Middleton Farmers Cooperative is only 15-20 minutes from my house, and had Purina Outlast in stock!! Felt nearly impossible to get my hands on, but I know that I have a feed store that I can get it from. The woman working the register at the feed store was very kind and even carried the bag over to the register for me. I’ll see if I can get my other feeds from here so I no longer have to support large corporations like TSC and Farm and Fleet. I’d love to be able to support a local Co-op more often!
Only complaint is their hours on the weekends. Would be nice if they were open a couple hours on Sunday, but definitely not the end of the world. Good hours during the week day.”

I was pleasantly surprised to find that they carry most Benjamin Moore paints so I don’t have to drive to the contractor-focused store on the west side and feel like I’m a bother. Make sure to set up a rewards account through their app - worth it! Highly recommend this store!”

“Good small station for convenience or fuel. Top-Tier as well, free of ethanol which is very nice for two-strokes or performance engines. Only real complaint is the amount of people that forget a larger and easier to access location is off of Pleasant View and can be very easily accessed by Market St. WAY too many people hold up the lane on University trying to turn across a double-yellow into the location. I feel like it might be a good idea at this point to make the enter/exit one way, if it gets any worse.”
