“The women are very friendly who work there. I enjoy going in. It's not only a shopping experience but a visit too. However, there's one young man that works the register at times. He makes my visit unpleasant when he's there. He's on his cell phone ,having conversations and it's very hard to know who he is speaking with. Me( as he should ) or the person on the phone .It's the person on the phone .They are loud ,etc.....And the guy that's drinks beer in the parking lot , he drives a lawnmower. He's obnoxious. There's a time and place for alcohol, in front of a business is not one.I've passed on by several times when he's been there.”
2108 19th Street North, Bessemer AL 35020
“Good gas prices as compared with other places in the area, beverages are kept cold and the male enhancement products are fresh and actually work.Service is friendly and store is kept clean”

“Love the gas prices here, they are lower than anywhere else in town. Store is usually clean. Employees could be a little more friendly but overall good store and will continue to bring my business here.”

“This Shell station is always clean and well-maintained, both inside the store and around the pumps. One of the best things is that they offer fresh coffee and hot food 24/7, including pizza and fresh wings—perfect for a quick bite any time of day or night! Their gas prices are usually cheaper than the station across the street, which is another reason I keep coming back . Overall, a reliable stop with friendly service, clean facilities, and good food. Highly recommend!”
1401 Carolina Avenue, Bessemer AL 35023
“The cashier is very kind and courteous every time I stop when I happen to be on this side of town. The store is clean, well stocked, and laid out where everything is easy to see. The bathrooms are clean which is a big deal to me. This is not one of those small, crowded stores that feels dark and dirty. It is bright, well lit, and the day cashier is very friendly. Prices are comparable with every other station in the area. I will return again my next time through the area.”
5036 Ford Parkway, Bessemer AL 35022
“I’m not sure who the gentleman is that works the morning/day shift but that man is always so polite and kind and engaging, I hope the owners of this store do whatever they can to keep him around because he is what an employee should be.”
2800 9th Avenue North, Bessemer AL 35020
“They have great chicken, ribs, fried catfish, chicken tenders, okra, fries. All of its good, good. Even the ranch dressing. Then they also have a liquor store right next door. One stop shopping.”
5977 Johns Road, Bessemer AL 35023
“The long gray haired employee needs to keep her rude comments to herself. If a customer gets mad because I bought the last of a certain brand cigarettes not my problem. Told her I see it as first come first serve basis. She told me well you’ll just kill yourself first. WTH?! She was literally ticked off because I bought the last carton. I go in there every week.”
918 Allison-Bonnett Memorial Drive, Hueytown AL 35023
“Absolutely the best gas station in Hueytown!! The staff is friendly and they love to see repeat customers! I honestly feel valued here and the products are fresh! They offer the best discounts in regards to their rewards program! The restroom is available for use unlike other gas stations in Hueytown. I look forward to Murphy's being my only gas station for business! You guys rock and keep being cool! Other businesses in Hueytown like to make their own rules aside from corporate. They focus on employees. Not this place, Murphy's actually focuses on having customers and not just keeping the place open just to say they have a business. Keep up the fantastic work y'all!”
2593 Morgan Rd, Bessemer AL 35022
“I liked this gas station but I am so glad they were rebranded as Circle K (August 2020) because the gas prices are lower and they have a larger selection of products to choose from.”
900 4th Avenue North, Bessemer AL 35020
“Pretty cool workers in the store. The one that seemed to overcharge on everything in the store is gone thank God. I believe he was stealing because he overcharged everybody.”

The company plans to add 120 stores during the current fiscal year. Its previous plan, launched in 2023, delivered more than 500 new stores and earned the company a spot in the S&P 500.

With its funny billboard ads, award-winning clean bathrooms, and branded items Buc-ee’s is hard to miss. The company wants people to actually plan to stop at Buc-ee's during road trips, not just go there as a last resort. And it's working - the chain has a huge fan base, with Facebook groups dedicated to Buc-ee's having hundreds of thousands of members.

Read the postLove's Travel Stops is rolling out a new system that turns work into a game for its restaurant employees. Picture this: Three big screens in each restaurant, tracking how fast workers greet customers, take orders, and hand out food. It's not just for show - early results say it's making service 11 seconds faster on average. "These monitors track key performance metrics in real-time, such as greet times, order processing times and the time it takes for food handoff," Love's explains. The system creates a more interactive environment, fostering friendly competition between stores.
