“Visited this store for the first time Christmas Eve since moving to this area. All I can say is you can’t beat their prices. I brought home 7 bags of groceries for under $70!!!! Anywhere else I would have paid between $100 -$150 for the same items bought. And yes, the hometown feel brings back memories of my childhood grocery shopping with my Mama. Keep up the good work and be expecting seeing more of me and my family. So worth the drive from LaGrange!”
“I was at this location 2/28/22 @ 2:20 pm. the young man behind the counter was truly awesome. I am handicapped and he offered twice to carry my stuff to the car. This young man deserves a raise the store was picked and he was cool calm and attentive.”
“I saw the old time coca cola sign out front and i knew it was even before ol skool. This place started back in the day!...what does that mean...it means a time when people treated each other with respect. “If you use the Pig Deals app you can save money. Plus they have a free item each week. This week's freebie was a 3 lb bag of yellow onions. Several weeks ago it was a dozen eggs. And they still have a senior discount on Wednesday! This store is very old, very worn. It was the Opelika Kroger 40 years ago, so don't expect a new facility or updated finishes, furnishing and fixtures. That being said, they carry local items that no one else has, like Dirt Road Casseroles and Foy's BBQ. Best of all, the employees are friendly and helpful. You can tell they are treated well and happy to be there. If the facility were updated, I'd give them 5 stars.”

“I have been shopping at this place most of my life and I have only one complaint .....The chicken isn't always at its best. Other than that , the staff is always very helpful and very friendly. The store its self is always pretty much as clean and neatly kept as it can be .And even the parking lot is clean and safe . I tend to have a need for a soda when I leave the store sometimes and the drink boxes out side have never kept my change nor have I been disappointed with, not being able to get the drink of my choice . Overall it is a great place to shop !”

“Tuesday 10 to 11.30 am ... alone for most of the time.. did a load 4.00 and dried for 2.00. Great experience. Trash cans empty. Floor clean. Machines wiped down. Everything in working condition except the 10.00 machine.. lol..”

“Very nice store love shopping at Kroger. Your employees are very nice and speak to me and my family when we are shopping. Your new lady in charge of the flower dept is doing a great job. My wife loves the flowers i get her from Kroger!! As your remodel your store you do need better and new security cameras that are HD for inside and outside. My car was damaged and the Lanett police officer said the camera were so bad when they viewed the tape. The manager would not allow me to view it only the police officer. Other than that A++.”
“Get some food at Walmart.... Maybe some batteries.... Some paper and some pen.... Some adult diapers..... Diarrhea medicine hemorrhoid medicine, medicine to keep you from having a baby, things that help you in the process of making a baby you can get a toothbrush or you can purchase fake vampire teeth....Walmart is a cheap way to get cheap products when you're cheap”

“It's old, small, a bit dingy, the shelves can sometimes be a hot mess... but I'm glad this location is here. Prices are often lower on basic goods than the Piggly Wiggly next door, and I can't recall ever having an unpleasant interaction with the employees. The cashiers are usually nice folks, friendly and pleasant. The lost star is for the condition of the store (blame corporate and the shopping center landlord) and sometimes dubious stock compared to other DGs in Auburn-Opelika (blame corporate again).”
“This particular dollar general seems to have more merchandise to choose from especially when stocking is finished. I love that, but while stocking the The aisles are filled carts making it so hard to maneuver. They are so pack with lots of this things that it makes shopping ??️ difficult plus the cashier is from what I seen the one trying to stock the shelves and handle the register so it gets backed up quick. The manager did come from the office and open another register. They also had a sign on the door saying they were hiring, that's good.”
