“Let me start off by saying I have been taking my dog to the Pet Hospital of Madison (personally do not recommend) for about Six months or so. I was recommended to Dr. Alford by a friend whom I expressed concerns to with my dogs current care… and it was a BLESSING in disguise. I felt like Dr.Alford listened to me and actually cared about the well-being of my dog and her quality of life. He listened to me and could also see how miserable she was, something that was dismissed by the Drs at my prior vet unfortunately. He helped me with one of the hardest decisions I ever had to make. All of the staff was super kind and helpful and I am very appreciative and I will here on out recommend you to anyone I come into contact with and you guys will be future primary vet for the future. Thank you guys!”

“My Westie is terrified of the vet because of bad past vet service. I took my baby boy here and he did not tremble or cry. The staff was young and energetic, they got down on the floor to play with him! This place seems like it will be a positive experience all around. We did not meet the doctor, was not a medical visit. He had his anal glands expressed. Which was $42.00. Pricey $$$. BUT he was NOT terrified or traumatized. He was happy. So I'm ECSTATIC.”

“I am taking my 2 dogs and 2 cats to the Madison Vet Hospital. All the staff, from Receptionists, Vet techs to the Vets, have been very attentive to our animals, always taking their time adressing all concerns and making sure there are no questions left unasked at the end of the appointment. Our pets are always handled calmly and confidently making sure they experience the least amount of stress possible.”

It’s clear they not only want and suggest what’s best for each pets well-being and quality of life, but look out for ours as well.
We’ve had to make the heartbreaking end-of-life decision twice under their care, and they were incredibly compassionate and respectful to both our sweet babies and to us. We now have two senior dogs—a small one with anxiety and a large one with mobility issues—and bringing them into the office isn’t always the best option. They are always understanding and accommodating.

They seem to really love cats and are so kind and loving to ours, even when we bring in the shy cat. This last visit, while we waited for the vet to come in, the vet tech even cleared out the bottom shelf of the cabinet so our cat could hide and feel safe. 100% would recommend this vet for anyone with cats!”
