She never recommends unnecessary tests, takes a whole-pet approach, and truly listens. When my senior dog lost significant weight with normal test results, Dr. Stark identified stress-related GI issues and helped her fully recover. Her surgical referral for a chest mass and follow-up guidance were excellent. Thanks to her care, my dog will be a happy 15-year-old soon. Highly recommend Dr. Stark and South Shades Crest Animal Clinic.

3780 Riverchase Village SUITE 300, HooverI cannot say enough wonderful things about Banfield, especially Dr. Alexandria Sheppard, vet tech Mari, and the rest of the amazing team — including Nia, Suzanne, Kaitlyn, Chara, and so many others whose names we don’t always catch but who always show us the same kindness and care. Every single person at this clinic has treated our family and our three fur babies — Sam (18 years old), Garth (10 years old), and Madison Elizabeth Taylor (estimated 10 years old) — with such genuine compassion and professionalism.
Sam and Garth have been with Banfield their whole lives, and Madison has been cared for here since we adopted her in 2017. Through every stage, Dr. Sheppard and Mari have gone above and beyond to make sure they receive the best care possible. Dr. Sheppard takes the time to explain everything clearly and patiently, which helps my husband and me feel confident about each step of their care.
Mari is amazing — warm, kind, and attentive in a way that puts both pets and people at ease. Nia, Suzanne, Kaitlyn, and Chara are always welcoming, supportive, and thoughtful, and the rest of the staff is consistently just as wonderful. It truly feels like our pets are in the best hands with the whole Banfield team.
Together, Dr. Sheppard, Mari, Nia, Suzanne, Kaitlyn, Chara, and the entire Banfield staff make an outstanding team. Wade and I are so grateful for the care, kindness, and peace of mind they’ve given us. Banfield is truly lucky to have them — and so are we!

I went to 4 total places and was immediately sold on PetSuites!! When I first entered it was clean and freshly scented! I was immediately greeted by the staff who introduced themselves and were super friendly!! I was given a tour right then! I brought my fur baby, Baxter, the next day for his evaluation, he passed, and stayed the whole day in group play!! I got to watch him on camera on my phone while he played and when I picked him up he was in such a great mood! I’m so happy I found PetSuites?

5846 Elsie Rd, HooverSO and I are Frutta Bowl fans.... for years now! However, now that they have closed their doors, SO is on the hunt for a replacement.... and we ended up at Farm Bowl. I don't know that we are converts yet, but their acai bowl was very good! We got a build your own acai bowl with mango, strawberry, granola, chocolate hazelnut, and peanut butter. Their acao base itself is AMAZING, better than Frutta Bowl's acai base for sure. Their granola texture is.....crunchier? Not sure how to describe it, but I do prefer Frutta Bowl's granola more. Overall, it was very good, I can see us coming back!

My husband and I decided on Ashley Macs because of their healthier options. In the past my sister and I always went for lunch. I did not realize that they offered dinner. I enjoyed the lemon rosemary chicken with feta and rice, and always order and love their mac and cheese, but to me their sour cream biscuit needs a little more seasoning. I really liked their outside patio. We were able to see a great sunset.

Cookie Plug
5858 Elsie Rd, HooverThe Cookie Plug is a little hard to find. I passed it twice before I found it. It is located between Body Bar Pilates and Brick's Gap Pharmacy. It is a small store with no seating but it makes up for that in pure coolness factor. There's a pretty awesome mural on one wall and merchandise for sale. All the cookies are on display for you to choose from and they all are thick and tempting. I came in for the first time to cash in a birthday reward from their rewards club. It was supposed to be an iced phatty, which was any two cookies with ice cream between them but they did not have ice cream but I still got two cookies. I tried their red velvet and turtle cookies and tried their signature drink the Purple Drank, which is a lemonade refresher. Everything was SO good. When I say these cookies are thick I mean they are at least an inch thick and served warm. The red velvet was so soft and velvety. It melted in my mouth and tasted terrific. My favorite was the Turtle. It was too soft to pick up in one piece but the chocolate, caramel, and walnuts were in perfect ratio. I will definitely be back for more. The service here was stellar. The young woman who took care of me, Toni, was so friendly and sweet. Cookie Plug, you need more like her!

The price was right and the Food was even better! Then he found me a coupon to use to take off more money. WHO DOES THAT? 3469 Loch Haven Dr, HooverGreat, clean dog park. There are separate areas for small and large dogs. Water is available (except when it's freezing). There's also a small agility area and a portable toilet. Plenty of parking is also provided.
Right next to it there is also a large playground for children and the option to go for a walk.
