What few pets were more to the exotic side. Ferrets, rabbits, and the like. They only had parakeets for birds. The large golden bearded dragon (as of 8/4) they had at Montgomery Pet Supermarket off Perry Hill Road was beautiful, clean, and very social. He road on the sales staff shoulders perfectly and accepted all attention. Stunning animal and up for adoption.
I do wish they supported the ASPCA by having adoptable animals available.

In the past three (3) months I bought a property and restored a pond that was a bit neglected. After looking for countless landscapers and not receiving response follow ups my son and I decided to redo the pond to house Koi. The results were phenomenal.Koi were very hard to find in our area, but Petco consistently had them and so the story begins. Each month (twice) we went over to Petco and purchased Koi (oldest 2 to 3 months old from purchase date) and to date they continue to flourish without any issues. The staff each time was professional, interested, stressed the importance of a healthy habitat, what it takes to ensure a healthy habitat, and was extremely welcoming.Our next communication with the Petco staff will always be cherished and remembered! Mandy recalled our situation, my search, and asked me questions which led to one of the most amazing blessings for all involved! Mandy in the most professional and ethical manner matched a customer and I with similar needs which solved a problem. Initially all were excited, but we were concerned about the rehoming, transportation, and overall health of the fish. Unfortunately, none in this area advertises rescue and/or transportation services for Koi. Mandy and Sydney were not deterred and their clear determination, compassion, and care for animals was so evident. They researched, always communicated with parties, and a time was scheduled for the transfer. If I am not mistaken these ladies stated this was their first rescue and rehome, but it seemed as anything but. From netting the fish, calming them down, a smooth ride, and a slow peaceful introduction to their new environment the entire process was flawless, heartwarming, and beyond what I ever imagined. Mandy, Sydney, and the Montgomery, AL Petco staff are simply amazing! Every encounter they go above and beyond to ensure animals are cared for and customers are knowledgeable to ensure well-being and health for pets. Clearly their love and care for animals is authentic and extends past the store. I am forever grateful for Mandy, Sydney, and Petco! These ladies represent and are the epitome of what Petco stands for and advertises. Thank you so much and I hope these employees are valued as much as they provide! They deserve so much more than this review and although I tried to compensate them for their time, resources, and gas they respectfully refused and were elated to help the fish and customers! Thank you for the opportunity to cross paths Petco and a heartfelt sincere thank you to Mandy and Sydney!

I even got a follow up call the next day on a Sunday with them checking in to make sure my cat was doing alright. Truly a 5 star experience from start to finish. Highly professional team of staff.

Nigel is a senior schnauzer mix and I knew his accidents in the house yesterday were not behavioral. I called for an appointment and was seen within the hour. In house lab work was speedy and discovered that our little guy is diabetic. The team took ample time preparing us for his future care. We have administered insulin shots at home with great success. We know he's on borrowed time but thankful none the less. Thanks MVA!

Carriage Hills Animal Hospital: Salter Ann A DVM
3200 Eastern Blvd, MontgomeryI wish I could give more than 5 stars to this office because they truly deserve it! Our pup was quite literally on his death bed on Friday! We were referred to them by our local vet and it could not have been a better referral. We drove an hour and a half to their facility and we were met with nothing but love and support and their extensive knowledge. Our pup Shadow stayed from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon with them. He was nursed back to health by all the amazing staff at this animal hospital. The staff is very knowledgeable despite our dog being a slight mystery case! They were constantly communicating with us and giving us updates! Our pup who normally doesn't love the vet was given so much love and attention that by the time we were ready to leave, he seemed like he wanted to stay! The whole staff at this office is so incredible and we are forever grateful for their support! Everyone with a pet needs a vet like this in their life! We will definitely be back! Shadow's new favorite place!

I cannot attest to the quality of medical services provided here because I only boarded my doggo. They require a physical examination by their veterinarian and proof of all vaccinations, heartworm and flea prevention, prior to boarding (they will do it there the day of if needed. We had to get a canine flu vaccine before we could board. We boarded Tootie in the "deluxe suite" which is a small room with a tv and extra play time, rather than a tiny kennel/cage. He didn't seem traumatized when we picked him up which was great! Their prices for boarding aren't bad either. $24.20 for basic boarding. $30 for deluxe boarding. I think there's also a $10-$15 fee in there somewhere too. No drop off on Sunday. Pick up Sundays 4:30p-5p only. Drop off Saturday from 7:30a-12p. Pickup during normal business hours during the week. We will definitely be using this establishment during our stay in Montgomery! Great service!

543 S Hull St, MontgomeryI can’t say enough good things about River Paws! They were wonderful with our 4 fur babies. Amanda is the absolute BEST! We were gone for a week so I called a few times to check on them. Amanda knew exactly what was going on with each of them and was so nice each time I called. Brandon is great too! You can just tell they genuinely love dogs. We requested baths for every one and when we picked them up they looked and smelled so good. They were also very happy and you could tell they had all been well taken care of and loved on. River Paws will be our go to place from now on!

They have treated her so well and have helped socialize her so much. She LOVES going there and it’s the only place she eats her tail for. The staff there are amazing and kind. I love that I can check on him with the cameras in the play yards. I also love that daycare is included with boarding. Freddy loved socializing with the other dogs. Drop off and pick up were so easy. Freddy was given a progress report for the weekend with how well he ate and played with others. He will definitely be camping here again.
