“I always come here to get my unique Asian food ingredients and products that you normally wouldn't find anywhere else. The Filipina lady that owns the place is very friendly and gives good advice on cooking or preparing Asian dishes that are unfamiliar. They also have really good dumplings here. I'm a huge fan of strange and unique brands and different types of ramen noodles from different countries and I get those from this store. Their Thai soups and tom yum are my favorite.”
“This location is just outside of rainbow city. It is very convenient to the city, and is on my way back home to Ashville. I appreciate it it’s convenient for me to swing through here on the way back from Walmart or Publix.I don’t really ever see any employees here, I just use the self check out. The store as well start relatively clean. My photos are from Black Friday, so understand that the store is normally more well-stocked than this.”
“We changed to this pharmacy yesterday for a medication my wife has to take, one that once you get it in your system you HAVE to take it every day. For 8 straight months since she's been on it I won't call any names but a well known pharmacy at Hoke and Meighan was out of stock 100% of the time on the days it was to be filled. Most of the time they had a few they could loan her but once when the script needed to be filled on a Friday and they didn't have it and they don't get deliveries on weekends, she was just out of it until Monday and they didn't get in any hurry to fill it then but they just didn't care, their attitude was that's just too bad that you're going to get sick because you don't have your medicine. So after shopping around I spoke to Publix and told them the disappointment this store had been and asked if they had similar problems and took new patients for this med. She assured me they don't so since this particular med couldn't be transferred to another pharmacy her Doctor understood very well the issues she was having with this other store and was very helpful in getting it moved to Publix yesterday morning and when I called them they confirmed they had it and was filling it and it would be ready in about a half hour which was a huge difference from what we were used to because with that store it was always going to be ready for pickup either after 6pm or 8pm, never ever in 30 minutes. So we went to pick it up and even though she was a new customer and we had never been there they had all her information with the insurance and took care of everything so fast and efficient we both were just amazed at getting customer service that good. I was so impressed it's what prompted me to write this review. And the employee working the drive through at Publix could not have been nicer, it was nearly like she understood exactly what we had been going through and went above and beyond her job to make my wife feel welcomed there and happy with the service they provide. So yeah, all of my wife's scripts are going to go to Publix from now on after doing business with this other store for many years and thinking we were good customers we certainly were treated like it, not after seeing how well it could be done at Publix. Thank you Publix, we WILL be seeing you.”
The Cincinnati-based supermarket giant will open about 110 new stores in fast-growing markets by 2029 and introduce three updated store formats, executives told investors Oct. 20 at the company’s Investor Update in New York. Kroger already runs about 2,700 stores in 35 states. The formats come in three sizes, a bit like small, medium and large, matched to each market. Mary Ellen Adcock, Kroger’s executive vice president and chief merchant and marketing officer, walked through the lineup.
Walmart shoppers want a head start on the holidays, and money explains a lot of it. Some 44% of respondents call affording the holidays their top stressor, and 61% say holiday costs shape their shopping mood. Asked what would make the season easier, 70% picked lower prices and 57% picked more deals and promotions. Convenience ranks lower: 30% want one-stop shopping across categories, and 20% want faster delivery.
Walmart wants your groceries at the door before the ice cream softens. On May 29, the retailer said its 30-minute-or-less delivery had reached 33 U.S. markets, adding a wave of new cities across the Northeast. Shoppers in those areas can order from more than 100,000 items, everything from fresh produce and baby formula to pet food, electronics, cold medicine, and prescriptions. Behind the scenes, the service leans on Walmart's store network and an algorithm that factors in order size, available drivers, and distance from the store.
Trader Joe's keeps adding stores, and shoppers keep showing up. The California grocer has marked nine more locations as "opening soon," pushing its expansion into new corners of the country. The grocer also took first place in the American Customer Satisfaction Index's 2026 supermarket rankings. It has held a spot near the top of that list for years.
Target is rolling out its most ambitious store overhaul in more than ten years, with plans to remodel over 130 locations and open 30 new stores across the country this year. The retailer is also putting money into supply chain technology upgrades to keep pace with how shoppers buy today.
