“Very accommodating managers! Grant and Donna are awesome! I so appreciate them giving young and elderly employees the opportunity to work in their store. It's always always so clean and smells good!! The bathrooms are so nice and clean as well! It would be nice if the lights had all of the light bulbs in the ceiling. It's too dark! Also, I think they should maybe decorate the store walls, bathroom lobby area entrance by the seasons. This is a local hometown store! Not a box store, thank God. “I love to get meat here. I dont buy hamburger anywhere else and it is always fresh and usually priced a little less than Walmart. I like it because they grind it fresh and you can get the exact amount you want. The main thing is the people. They are very friendly oh and their whole pizzas are made fresh and they're very good for the money. To people complaining about frozen steaks. Remember they are frozen because of their age. If it's dark that doesn't mean anything. The meat gets more tender as it breaks down and the blood has drained. Just don't assume they are bad based on color. I prefer an older steak to a fresh cut bright red anyday”

“This actually doesn't suck, at least compared to the usual trashy DGs around here. Not only does the market have an expanded grocery that splits the difference between the typical dollar store and a full-fledged market, the cosmetics and beauty section are a bit more contemporary feeling, not far from the old pOpshelf concept that DG sadly discontinued.
While some of the deals on the shelves aren't deals at all (math, people, it's your friend) at least the employees seemed nice. And the aisles, while narrow, were at least still pretty clean and the shelves well stocked. Minor miracles and all that.
Of course the same complaint I have for most all DGs in this area applies here, and that's that this is a total black hole for cell reception and the DG free customer wifi is flakier than grandma's biscuits. You'll spend more time getting connected than you will trying to shop for things, for real.
This location in Bon Secour is a bit out of the way for me but dang, I'll be back because it was actually not a nightmare.”
“I really liked the store. Good selection of Brazilian and Latin products. They also have in house dining which is a plus for any establishment especially because the food was delicious. reasonable prices, not too expensive, just the fair price I believe (everything has to be imported).”
“absolutely love this place, & everyone in it!! whatever you do PLEASE try the mexican food from the sweet lady in there!!!! SO AMAZING. she is truly God sent. any other food is great there as well, always a lovely place to get a quick meal. everyone in there is so sweet, and always helpful. these people WILL take care of you, ignore any bad reviews i promise they are not true!! i have no bad things to say about this place! a true 10/10 hidden gem!!!”

“They have a store puppy, she's a great tour guide. I went for yucca, plantain chips, they have a wide variety of produce as well as a refrigerated section. The papaya looked really good, you could smell it walking past. Oh they also have a lot of really beautiful cultural things like statues and vases, they are really special to see.”

“This is the nicest, most organized Dollar General I’ve ever patronized. I live within walking distance so ever since they opened, I have frequented this store at least 1-3x a week on average. I have witnessed their growth & progress as they have transitioned into a unified, professional, & effective team. Regarding the comment about the shelves being bare: Considering they literally opened their doors during the very first Stay at Home Order (April or May of 2020), when literally ALL stores were experiencing bare shelves, I feel they’ve done really well for themselves overall. But either way, I haven’t seen any bare shelves since lol.”

“Best dollar general in robertsdale imo. The remodel of the store they had a few years ago took time getting used to but it's easier navigating than it was. The employees are friendly and helpful (even though I hate asking for help xD); I would recommend this store to anyone.”
“A really nice Dollar General, with an expanded grocery section. Tiffany and Nancy are really sweet, too! This store is not only bigger and better staffed, but it seems cleaner and more spacious, too. Just be sure to look at the dates on foods, sometimes there’s expired stuff on the shelves. Not as bad as the other dollar stores in the area, but I’ve found a few things here and there.”

“Believe it or not I was in and out pretty quick. There were only 2 people in front of me. This DG actually has friendly knowledge people working here unlike some DG locations. I shop this location often and never have any issues unlike many of other DG stores.”
