Safeway Southgate provides a superior grocery shopping experience in a clean and well-organized store. It boasts a diverse and extensive selection of products, with a particularly noteworthy produce section offering the freshest vegetables and an impressive variety of fruits. The quality of the vegetables is the best. The store also offers a commendable selection of organic and locally sourced, farm-fresh items. While some items can be a little pricey, pricing is competitive with several enticing deals.
The store is supported by a team that includes many delightful and knowledgeable staff. Several employees are highlighted for going above and beyond, being kind, helpful, attentive, and uplifting. Specific mentions include incredible talent in the cake department, where designs are stunning and perfectly tailored, and wonderful service in the floral department, with beautiful arrangements and thoughtful suggestions. Management has also patiently assisted customers to resolve issues. However, some staff interactions, while efficient, have been noted to occasionally lack warmth, and one assistant manager was criticized for an unprofessional attitude and overstepping boundaries. Overall, its commitment to quality, variety, and value makes Safeway Southgate a strong contender in the local market.
The staff is kind and helpful and the variety and quality of their products is very good.
