“Went there to look at some rock climbing shoes for my son. The staff there really know what they are talking about and I really appreciated that.
They even have a wall in the basement to try the shoes on. I have no idea what that looked like as I was browsing through the store when they went down. Needless to say, my son liked the recommended shoes.
Very helpful. We walked out with a pair of rock climbing shoes that my son was very happy with.
Definitely recommend them.
PS: we went to MEC right before and the level of service and knowledge was not comparable. At least I wasn’t convinced.”

When I walked in I was greeted with a friendly welcome, when I was trying to find what shoes I needed an employee walked up to me and asked if I needed help. They were so kind to me and honestly was one of the best customer service experiences I had. Whenever I need shoes I will go here”

“I bought a pair of heat wave sunglasses, and my puppy chewed off the nose piece. I stopped by jobsite workwear and spoke with Kelly in November 2025. I checked in periodically to see if she was able to get the part from heat wave. She always was kind and patient with me as it was a special order.
I checked in today and Kelly told me she had tried multiple times to get a hold of heat wave which was unsuccessful. In the end, she took a nose piece off one of her stock glasses and give it to me so I was satisfied for the meantime, which is excellent customer service. Highly recommend this place for somebody to look after you and your workwear needs. Also an opportunity to support a local business!”
“All of the associates were very kind and helpful. My only suggestion is making it a little bit more accessible! My mom has mobility issues so it was difficult having the only stools for trying on shoes at the back of the store, as well as they're very low and it was difficult for her to stand up. Capilano has a fairly senior demographic so it might be worth having a couple of seats that are better for those with mobility problems! :)”

They have a great selection of quality leather shoes (got my first pair of Clarks today!) and Mike, the owner, is very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. It's a 2nd generation family business since 1967. You don't see too many businesses last this long, so clearly they're doing something right! Very easy to get to, they're just across from Dollarama and near two mall entrances. Go check them out!”

“Hi my name is now Rachel Dowling anyway I went in yesterday at a drs request and had a amazing experience have planter fasciitis and needed a pair of shoes for work and a pair of shoes for my days off and sliders for around the house these two young sales men were extremely helpful finding me the right shoes they even matched the price of a more expensive slider cause they didn't have the cheaper slider in my size its pricy but the shoes are totally worth the price and they are so comfy I would totally reccomend this place if you have foot issues custmer service id give 25 stars but you can only give 5 same with the comfort and quality of shoes 25 stars if I could 100 /100 defently will be back”
