“A nice selection of quality fresh produce at good prices. A very friendly and generous owner who gave me approximately 4.6 kg of slightly off tomatoes he had rejected. I felt it reasonable to pay something for the tomatoes, not necessarily full price but something, as most were still usable. But he would not accept any payment. He only sells the very freshest of produce.”

You can get your entire meal in 1 place and it is quick and easy to prepare! The selection is fantastic, they have something for nearly every taste!This store is clean, well organized, inviting and the staff is very personable, professional and knowledgeable about their products if you have questions or want a recommendation. “Sobeys in red deer lovely store so clean. The displays of the vegetables fruit meat bakery are very appealing.
Another thing about Sobeys they have a community board.
It’s in the lobby when you come in. You can put up a for sale, sign community event something of interest.”

“if you saw how much stuff I had in my hands, and how sick I was and the day I had.. you’d think I was crazy for stopping myself at a bench right outside to say Sophia is a absolute gem of a person and employee and I am so very thankful for not only her wonderful attitude and chipper personality but for the kindness in her eyes. Tricia also was a wonderful addition to an already beautiful experience.

“Great inventory. No cashiers and no Dutch Dairy Ice Cream. Chapman Premium Ice Cream refuses to solidify. Remains soft and artificial tasting regardless of time in the freezer. Into the trash.”

“I love grocery shopping. Because I have such a weird love for something stressful, I've noticed a few things over the past 30+ years.
This IGA has an incredible amount of love and dedication put in every day by the owners and staff. I've never seen any grocery store that have the owners (Dad and son) stocking shelves daily, with happiness and commitment to the product. They both take time out of their hectic schedule to approach wondering eyes and answer dumb questions that make you think it's not a dumb question to ask. Are prices a little higher than Walmart? Yes. On some things but the owners don't set the price, IGA does. I also prefer paying more to have friendly and familiar faces, and support my local community. Honestly, one of (if not the best) stores I've ever shopped at. 10/10.”
