Rock Springs Café
35900 Old Black Canyon Hwy, Black Canyon CityThis roadside cafe is a favorite stop on our vacation route from Phoenix to Flagstaff. It looks a bit like a hole in the wall but the rustic appearance is part of the charm. This was our fifth stop here and so far it has never failed to disappoint. Wait time was stated as 20 minutes but we were seated in 10 minutes. Service was on target. Our party of four had smoked pork ruebens, a smoked brisket Philly, and the meatloaf stacker.....all given two thumbs up. This cafe is known for their pies, so we opted for dessert. One couple shared a large slice of rhubarb pie which was given five stars for great flavor and a good balance between tart and sweet. The other couple had the key lime pie which earned five stars for its great lime flavor and crunchy crust. All around a very fine meal !

The staff is always friendly, the menu offers great options, and the portion sizes are just right — plus, I can’t resist the homemade fudge and the delicious pies, which are to die for!
