Take 59th ave off of buckeye (the frontage road, that only goes north!) Turn on Washington, then 57th. Come in the first gate and you'll be all set up to back into the docks. Cars parked on the street makes getting in/out a little snug, but not terrible.

On this office visit, Dr. Miller determining that she has lost vision in one of her eyes, she is deaf, and a little wobbly on her feet, kidneys might be starting to go but she hits the pee pad still 70% of the time...so we took her home. She is back to eating like a frieght train, and looking for her banana nubs so shes on her 5th or 6th life. The meds made a big difference. The love the staff and Dr Miller show our dog is great to see. HIGHLY recommend them for thier skill, care, and HONESTY. Reasonably priced for services rendered and we are in our 16th year with our girl under thier care.

One of my boys is diabetic (or was he is currently in remission after I had him on insulin 2x/day) and he is mean. The techs have all felt his wrath when simply taking his temp with an ear thermometer, yet they all were so kind and gentle with him while he is stressed. I also like that Larkspur is a cat only clinic. No dogs in the lobby to increase the stress they are already under. I appreciate everyone there and they compassion they have for my boys.

Before training, Milo was pulling on the leash, reacting to other dogs and people, counter surfing, and simply not listening when given commands or being recalled. Now I feel like I have a brand-new dog! Hahaha.
I had actually started avoiding taking him out because walking him could be so stressful. But now, with the heel command, I feel confident walking him and I can see that he feels more confident too!
Sophie, Ian, Rob, Olivia—everyone was amazing. And as a certified helicopter dog mom, I especially appreciated receiving updates and videos while Milo was boarding. It gave me so much peace of mind to see how he was doing and watch his progress.
Now we get to go home and continue practicing everything we learned, including working with the prong collar and E-collar.
I’m incredibly happy and excited about the results I saw during our go-home lesson. And the best part we’re not even done yet!

She’s 19 months old and still a puppy but it was giving me anxiety taking her out because she would pull on a leash and get so excited and become reactive when she saw other dogs. I did 3 training sessions with Elisa and I was amazed at how much we were able to fix during a short time. She now walks great on a leash and doesn’t pull, I can have her lay on her dog bed and stay when people come to the door so she doesn’t go jump on them and Ive learned the skills to recall her if she gets out the door or wants to take off after something distracting. I feel much more at ease after learning these skills. I can’t recommend Elisa enough, she has made it fun to take Mocha out without the dread of her pulling as I feel that I’m back in control now. Elisa really knows her stuff!

I tried private training sessions and group sessions (for 4 months) and nothing worked. After one session of engagement classes he is well on his way to be a well trained dog that I can walk without chaos and aggression. I will be returning for another engagement class next month.
Wes spent a lot of individual time with Rowdy and they were so supportive and encouraging. They gave me the confidence I needed to handle Rowdy. And most important, I’m not hearing my friends and family telling me to take Rowdy back to the Humane Society.

Every time I drop Winnie off, everyone is so welcoming, and when I check the cameras, I always see the counselors giving the pups so much attention and snuggles. They are so attentive and always keep me informed—one time they even let me know about a small scab they noticed on Winnie that clearly happened outside of camp.
I used to be nervous leaving Winnie anywhere, but Camp Bow Wow gives me complete peace of mind. Most importantly, Winnie absolutely loves it there and always comes home happy (and tired) after the best day. I couldn't recommend them more!

From the beginning, they treated Pepper like family while also giving her the structure, consistency, and guidance she needed. We noticed such a difference in her confidence, responsiveness, and overall calmness after coming home. The communication throughout the stay was amazing — updates and photos via Instagram that made us feel completely comfortable and 2 referrals helped us with trusting them with our girl.
What stood out most was how balanced their approach felt. It never felt harsh or one-size-fits-all. They really took the time to understand Pepper’s personality and work with her in a way that supported both training and emotional regulation.
If you’re looking for trainers who genuinely care about dogs and their humans, I highly recommend Balancing Paws. We’re so grateful for the foundation they helped create for Pepper.

They have a ton of different flavors, and everything is made fresh every day. Nothing is frozen. But I always go back to the classic. It’s just so good.
And the slices are huge! Cheesecake is one of those desserts that can get pretty expensive, especially when it’s this good, but their prices are super reasonable for what you’re getting.
This is one of those places where I took a few bites and immediately thought, everybody needs to know about this place. I was blown away. If you love cheesecake, go to Banham. Seriously. It’s that good.

Almost There: A Mom + Pups Rescue
2611 East Indian School Road, PhoenixI have been involved with rescues for 40 years. This is one of the best ran and maintained have encountered. Dropped off donation and items recently. Well run, clean and doing important work saving dogs lives. The mother dogs and puppies were all healthy, happy and extremely well cared for. Highly recommend for adoptions! They need donations, volunteers and resources to continue as the amount of displaced animals far exceeds homes for them.

17010 South 48th Street, PhoenixGreat place to let my dogs run amuck! Probably 2.5 to 3 acres of grassy park. Lots of dogs to play with and water buckets and a spout to refill with fresh water. We spent a couple of hours letting our dogs sniff and play. Note: There is only one park that is not divided by dog size. My dogs think they're big so no problem for us.
