(1) it’s an all-in-one location; meaning a one-stop-shop where you can daycare and/or board, there’s a vet next door AND a pet supply all located in one place. They have a huge facility (a BIG surprise from all the visits I’ve recently made to other doggie daycares) AND a pool (see photos) which any lab owner knows is a Major Bonus! Plus perhaps the biggest bonus of all? Bark Avenue is less than 10 minutes from our new home. So all in all, Tammy, Sunny and I couldn’t be happier with our “daughters other new home!”

3654 N Power Rd STE 119, MesaI made an appointment and took my pup to the self wash a few weeks ago at the Power & McDowell location . The girl working there was very sweet, informative, and kind. There was another person who walked in at the same time as my appointment and she made sure that since I had made the appointment I went first. It was very clean and cute inside. The self wash area was wonderful. The large basin with the steps for dogs made it so much easier than trying to wrestle my new pup in the kitchen sink or bath tub at home and the sprayer/ hose was awesome. They had every thing I needed right there to give my puppy a good scrub and provided towels and dryers to dry her off with after. I would and have recommended that other people go there and do the self wash it's much easier than doing it at home.

You guys keep nixing turtle stuff. In like 2 years you've cut sku count in half with that. You can buy 150 different types of cat food. But only 2 different types of food and 3 different treats for a turtle there.
I get it, it's not profitable or a high velocity seller. But I'm going to start going to an aquarium store and ordering my cat/dog food off the Internet. Not going to two different places lol.

However, starting with the phone call to inquire about 4 Paws Pet Resort, to walking in the from door the day of drop off was an excellent experience. Staff was friendly, good spirited, professional , and addressed all my questions and concerns with kindness. Facility was clean and orderly. On pick-up, their cages were already cleaned; they were fed with snacks and clean water. And staff's energy was the same happy and exciting manner. I would highly recommend 4 Paws Pet Resort.

The amount of fur they got off her should be illegal. Our house is cleaner, our black clothes are safe again, and I no longer feel like I’m living inside a snow globe made of dog hair.
Not only does she look amazing (seriously, so shiny and soft), but she came home happy, relaxed, and acting like she just left a spa day. The team was super friendly and clearly knows what they’re doing.
If you have a lab that sheds like it’s their full-time job, do yourself a favor and go to Trim Time Pet Grooming. 10/10, would de-shed again.

My 7 month old Dane is terrified of pretty much any and every one and thing. The staff assisted me in lifting all 100 pounds of Walter into the wash tub. Their shampoo and conditioner although not overwhelmingly fragrant but leaves them with a very pleasant smell afterwards, leaving his fur shiny and soft! The amazing groomer took time out of her busy schedule to do a nail trim/grind on my terrified boy and she did such a great job, she was super patient and calm with him. Highly recommend Green Bulldog!

They were able to come to our home the very same day, and both the doctor and his wife were incredibly kind, patient, and caring. They never rushed us and treated our beloved pet with so much dignity and respect.
The thoughtful touches afterward meant so much to us. We received a beautiful handwritten letter, along with both a framed ink paw print and clay paw prints that we will cherish forever.

Power Road Animal Hospital
2333 S Power Rd, MesaOur 1 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback was not acting like himself…he was lethargic and had loss vision in one eye. Dr. Emily Ozmun was our doc when we first brought him in to Power Ranch. Our boy is very anxious and not a fan of the vet. She and the other techs were very patient and did all the could to slow down and assess him accurately. We had a concern after leaving and Dr. Emily called us back that day. It was identified after tests our dog had Valley Fever. Dr. Emily called us after each blood test to talk with us and make a plan, and even emailed a summary of our conversation so I could properly reiterate it to my partner. She has been truly empathetic and genuine in her care. We’ve all never had to wait more than 5-10 minutes to be seen and all the techs have been amazing. Itll be a journey for us with our pup, but it’s a little less difficult knowing we have a great vet on our side.

missed that window and had to wait a year to get her in, but it was well worth it. In the two weeks she was in bootcamp, they accomplished a ton of stuff. Basic manners were reinforced, during leash training. dealing with aggresive, reactive behavior with other dogs, jumping up on folks etc. Sergio was with me all the way after bootcamp patiently listening to me or responding to my texts for advice. We moved her to E training which she has responded to very well. I cannot say how many compliments I get all the time on how chill she is, and how well trained she is! I'm very proud of her and so grateful to Sergio for his hard work with her!

If you're anything like us - struggling with your dog and totally at a loss, not knowing how to change their behavior, how to manage them in and out of the house, or honestly just what they need from you - call John. Truly. He is the best.
We rescued our dog, Mr. Man, back in January (good ol foster fail). He's the sweetest, most sensitive soul, but he's also a big, strong staffy with a ton of energy. I was really having a hard time with his size and strength and we felt kind of overwhelmed and unsure what to do. More than anything we just wanted things to feel safe - for Mr. Man, for us, and for anyone (person or animal) who interacted with him.
The first session, Mr. Man gravitated straight to John, which was the last thing we expected - he's really timid with new people, especially men. He literally stayed glued to his side the whole time, did everything he asked, and tried to follow him out the door when he left. He'd found his best friend.
John has really a gentle, calm, and patient presence, and his training was completely tailored to Mr. Man. He focused on rewards and positive feedback, read him constantly, and adjusted in real time based on his personality, sensitivity, and what he actually needed. Nothing felt generic or one-size-fits-all.
I think the biggest takeaway is that he really trained us. He gave us simple, intuitive tools that actually work. We're not stressed or second-guessing ourselves anymore. After just three sessions Mr. Man was calmer, focused on us, and so much easier to redirect - and we finally knew what we were doing. Keeping up with the training has been fun instead of stressful because it just works, Mr. Man has a blast, and it's easy to stick with.
Also - just as a bonus - we absolutely loved having John in our home (he's still Mr. Man's favorite person to date), and we were genuinely sad when the sessions were over.

She’d never been in a pool before, but Jason and Kristen were patient and encouraging, and had her jumping off the dock by the end of her very first session. The staff were friendly and the facility was clean and spacious. Once we felt comfortable on our own, we were able to book dock time to keep training and having fun together. I am looking forward to trying out the paddle board in the pool next. Highly recommend IBK9 whether your dog is new to the water or already experienced!

14 Waterhouse Ln, ChesterI called and interviewed two other trainers before Belinda and, as much as they tried to sell me on the use of shock collars, in the end I just couldn't do it to either of my dogs. My oldest boy was a rescue who came to us extraordinarily scared and timid. It took me a good 6 mos to get him to trust me, and now he's my little shadow. He remains timid and very shy, and I fear a shock collar would make him revert back to where he was when we got him. My younger dog is also a rescue but he's just a little guy and when I felt the "shock" of the collar even at a very low number I knew I couldn't put one on him. Enter Belinda! Positive and explains dog psyche. Gives advice on adding a new command onto a learned one. She spent some time getting to know my boys and they loved her. I just wish she were in Arizona year round, as I lost several months training time with her due to a knee surgery.

Robinson Dog Training

It was to the point I feared his being kicked out of my park. I knew I’d never be able to rehome him. I was lied to about his condition. It was a fix him or I’d be forced to put him down.
With Lewis’ help and guidance, Maverick is now a great walker, no barking or lunging. We reinforced his basic commands and Maverick is a near perfect dog. I still have a little work to do but, in a sincerity, without Lewis’, it would have been a different outcome for Maverick and myself.

At our initial evaluation, Katy provided several situations to encounter different dogs and gave an effective tool to address the reactivity on my first visit. After a few day care sessions we saw how quickly our shepherd was responding to the training. We ended up signing up for board and train so she could learn all the things! We are so impressed with Katy’s training, in addition to her treating our dog like one of her own. Such an awesome facility and training experience. Highly recommend.

Disco! This stop has the subdued v bright interior debate started in my head. Often discussed by the better half, it has rarely crossed my radar. Still pulling these thoughts together but may be leaning toward the old school softer side. Will readdress later.
Would love to have you thoughts on this garden situation.

The crust is super buttery and crisp. I highly recommend giving them a bunch of tries. Phantom Fox is rad also. Together youve got everything you need in one place.

CRAFTI Tea & Mocktail
28 S Dobson Rd #103, MesaCrafti is seriously one of the cutest boba shops I’ve been to in Mesa. I ordered the Fresh Taro Milk with OG boba and the Brown Sugar Earl Grey Milk with boba, and both were so good for completely different reasons.
The Fresh Taro Milk is made with real taro, and you can actually taste the difference. It has that fresh, earthy flavor instead of the artificial powder taste a lot of places use. The texture was everything, and the drink size felt just right. Not too much, not too little.
The Brown Sugar Earl Grey Milk was creamy, smooth, and perfectly balanced. You still get that floral Earl Grey flavor while the brown sugar adds just enough sweetness. The boba in both drinks was soft, fresh, and had the perfect chewy texture.
The shop itself is adorable. I loved all of the capybara-themed artwork, and they also have pieces from local artists available to purchase, which makes the space feel really unique. My favorite part was the sticky note art wall where everyone leaves little doodles and messages. It’s such a fun way to bring the community together and adds so much personality.
It had the perfect amount of people when I visited. Busy enough that you know it’s a good spot, but still relaxed enough to hang out and enjoy your drink. I’ll absolutely be back to work my way through the menu.

2753 E Broadway Rd A112, MesaI want to start by saying, good Mexican is not easy to find in this area and the greater Phoenix area. There are a lot of options, but not a lot of good ones. I'm biased because I'm from northern california. This food hit the spot! I was so happy. I got the carne asada (cali) burrito. The flavors were poppin. The cook on the carne asada was flavorful and crisp. Most around here don't know how to cook carne asada with any flavor. The hot sauces were all delicious. I tried all of them. My wife got a few different tacos. The chorizo and the Al pastor were phenomenal as well. We both agreed too, the horchata drink was the best we've ever had anywhere. We will definitely be back. 446 N Higley Rd UNIT 102, MesaDebbie contacted me through a Facebook post I had made and gave us great information regarding 2 puppies that due to a family medical issue, had to be rehomed. She was very thorough and gave us great advice. After a long discussion we decided to go with this rescue and they are truly amazing! Glenda drove all the way to Payson to pick them up for us so we didn't have to drive to Phoenix. The communication has been top notch, and the care everyone we encountered has for animals shows. I love that they go straight into foster families and you can follow them on Facebook. I can't recommend this place enough!

Kitty Kat Rescue, Inc.
6932 E Hampton Ave, MesaKitty Cat Rescue is one if the few rescues I refer people for cat adoption. I see some people in the reviews did not agree with Laurie's policy on dog doors and spay/neuter. What a shame those people chose to defame such an amazing woman and her Rescue, because of a difference of opinion, instead of simply finding a rescue with policies that fit with their lifestyle and philosophies. Most ethical rescues have the same policies with good reason. My experience with Laurie has always been a pleasure. Her care and commitment to rescuing cats in need is clearly evident. She will continue to be top of my list for recommendation and donations.

Maricopa County Animal Care and Control
2630 West Rio Salado Pkwy, MesaCame by today! The workers were all super sweet and the facility is very clean. Will be coming back to check up on available dogs for adoption. They’re all such sweet babies and I know this facility is doing the best they can to care for them. Hoping to adopt one this week!
