“I recently stayed at the **Holiday Inn Express & Suites Glendale Downtown** and had a fantastic experience. The hotel is conveniently located near attractions like the **Westgate City Center**, **Gila River Arena**, and **State Farm Stadium**. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed, and feature a 50-inch LCD flat-screen television. The plush, triple-sheeted bedding ensured a peaceful night's sleep. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, and I appreciated the bilingual service in both English and Spanish. The complimentary **Express Start Breakfast** was a great way to kickstart my day, offering a variety of favorites. Additionally, the free high-speed internet access kept me connected during my stay.Whether you're visiting for business or leisure, I highly recommend the **Holiday Inn Express & Suites Glendale Downtown**. “Any facility with a full kitchen is for me. While vacationing I like to stay away from the busy areas, and this was perfect. The area is under construction, but it's quiet and no traffic delays. It's up the street from the interstate, which is also a plus. The hotel was nice, bright, and clean. The free breakfast was good and they had a variety of choices. Each day was a different breakfast sandwich. The staff was very friendly. However, housekeeping needs to do a better job making beds and removing the trash. We had to request that the trash be taken out. That should never be a request in a facility with full kitchens in every room.Rooms: Love the rooms. Very clean and comfy.Safety: The police were in the area at all times, due to construction.Walkability: Not walkable.Food & drinks: The closets thing to food/drinks outside of the hotel’s free breakfast is a Starbucks and a gas station up the street.”

“So the joint is nice enough. Clean rooms with a small usable kitchen. I am on the road a lot and typically Marriott properties are my brand of choice. I had only two minor issues with this property.1. It is 2023 the room did not have USB charging ports anywhere in the room to charge phone or other accessories like all the other Marriott properties I have stayed at recently.2. When they say breakfast ends at nine that is code for "it ends at 8:35 or when the food runs out and we don't feel like putting any more out." This is the only Marriott property that I have had this experience at. If the food runs out a half hour before closing.....That is it. No more food. Kitchen has a hard stop at nine. Doors closed. They are done. It does not matter if it is a weekday or a weekend. Never in all my time staying at a Marriott property have ever experienced this. Normally food is served right up until the end of the hour. Then if their are folks still in the dining room there is a courtesy call to let folks know the kitchen is closing and to top off any plates before it closes, and depending on the crowd they have a soft close. Not here. ALLLLL business. The sign says 9am THEY MEAN 9AM.SO if you want breakfast come down before 8:30am or run the risk of not getting any. Defiantly get down before 9.Never have I stayed in a "2 star" Marriott and was made to actually feel like it was two star service.Other than those two issues. Honestly I rate it 4 out of 5. Would have 5 out of 5 if we has the USB charging ports in room and if breakfast was not an issue.Safety: After hours you need a card key to enter the building”

“Rooms: Excellent cleanliness of our room. Soft beds and a pillow menu. Perfect. Quiet and efficient thermostat. Fridge and microwave. Accommodating staff brought us another chair for our desk so the two of us could each have one. We would stay here again.Walkability: Cracker Barrel restaurant Nextdoor. A convenient store within walking distance of the hotel also that has deli sandwiches and salads.Food & drinks: Hotels breakfast is perfect. Fresh choices for all appetites. Omelets, scrambled eggs, sausages, Cinnabon rolls, muffins, bagels, fresh fruit, cold and hot cereals with toppings, yogurts, juices and coffee and more.Noteworthy details: Near the freeway for ease of transportation, but still quiet. Close to a car wash, Target, fast foods, restaurants, and all types of needs.”

“After an absolutely horrible experience at a different hotel, coming to Best Western was an absolute blessing. As I was crying and scrolling on my phone to find a different hotel, I literally said out loud," oh a Best Western, I know they are gonna be clean". And I was right. I made my way to the Best Western and was greeted by Cynthia. I had mentioned to her that I had just booked a reservation through a third party. She stated that it has not shown up yet on her system. I unfortunately was at whitts end with a two screaming tired kids(one who also has a disability). Cynthia was very empathetic and helped me the best she could. She was able to place me in a room right away so my kids could have a bed to sleep on while my reservation was still being processed. She did have my credit card information for a hold. And gave me the keys to the room. She told me she will call me if she needed me back at the front desk. I swear I saw a halo on this girl that very second. I was literally in tears. We entered into a very nice clean room. And my kids stopped crying and fell asleep right away. Beds were comfortable and my kids and I felt safe. Complete opposite of the last place we were at. Cynthia you are a godsend. Please Best Western, give this girl the recognition she deserves p.s. I never write reviews.”

“Very nice place. Enjoyed the indoor pool. Becky at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The morning girl was only interested in her phone. She never spoke or looked up when we came or left. When we checked out, she was nice.Breakfast was the exact same every morning but it was good.Great area, food and shops close by. We felt safe.Luke Airforce Base was nearby and we heard the jets regularly. Next time we stay we're going to ask to be on the other side so we could see them.As for complaints, only 3. Our beds are too tall. We had a difficult time getting into them. I'm short and use to climbing but these were taller. The second was, my towel had a blood stain on it. The 3rd... they don't have any handicap rooms with 2 beds.”

“It was very very clean... Can smell the cleaner when opened the room door ? breakfast was decent, could have been kept a little warmer though. People enjoy the common/group areas in the evening. The outdoor area was especially nice. Staff was very very friendly. Is a pretty upbeat place to stop and relax from the road.Noteworthy details: Parking is in the back...gps isn't exact due to construction in the area”

“I didn't go there looking for an exciting hotspot. A clean room, a comfortable bed, an adequate kitchenette in a quiet building with friendly staff. This is what I wanted and this is what I got. This may sound like a blah review, but I was perfectly happy with it. I'll stay there again.”

“I didn't stay here, simply because of availability. But while I was there checking availability, I met one of the nicest people ever. Corrina King at the front desk is an incredible person. Even though there wasn't a room available for me, she treated me like a VIP. She provided me with phone numbers and locations of other hotels, including competitors, to help me find a room. This experience reminded me of the movie Miracle on 34th Street, when the the store was suggesting where people could find products at other stores. In a world where pride in one's job has been lost, Corrina King stands out as a role model we could all follow.”
