    “Good safeway to come to. Nice big store with many grocery goods. The people at checkout are always nice when I've gone in the mornings, lunch, and evenings. The only drawback is that since it is a big alot of customers come here and they always always have only 2 cashiers when I go. There's long lines all the time. Other than that, nice store to come to.”

    “In a world where it's difficult to find helpful folks, Kay has restored my faith in just how great one person can be. I'm not a regular to this Safeway, as I'm from Tucson. I was in self check out and realized I was not getting my discount for some items. Kay showed me how to navigate the app to quickly change my in store shopping location and easily find the discounted items I was purchasing. Kay was patient and kind. She knows her job well, and I sincerely appreciate her top-notch customer service. Kudos to Kay! I hope she gets recognized by her manager because she deserves it”

    “Good place to have lunch or dinner, then get your grocery shopping done. There is a Walmart here that we go to occasionally, especially on days when we want to eat first. As we all know, it is a good idea to eat before grocery shopping. Right? There are 2 places to eat here: 'in & out', and Olive Garden. The' Olive Garden' is pretty good, and does a fairly brisk business. And the' In & out' seems to always have a long line at the drive thru.”

    “I do not typically use Fry’s for my pharmacy, but I needed an emergency medication for my dog and no other pharmacy’s had it, especially since they were close to closing. Patti at the pharmacy was incredible. I can’t say enough great things about her. She went through hell and high water trying to find me a cheaper price for his meds because they were very pricy. She did that for me unprompted and I thought that was so above and beyond.”

    Kroger is spending $112 million to build two new stores and renovate 15 existing locations across central and northwest Ohio. The company calls it a "record-breaking" commitment to the region. The two new Kroger Marketplace stores will rise in Canal Winchester and Delaware, Ohio, each costing roughly $30 million to build. Kroger broke ground on the Canal Winchester location on March 19 at the southeast corner of Diley Road and Greengate Boulevard. The 118,000-square-foot store is expected to open in late fall 2026 and will create around 250 jobs.

    Loblaw Companies Limited is putting serious money into its retail network this year. Canada's largest food and pharmacy retailer announced it will spend $2.4 billion in 2026 to open new stores, renovate existing locations and strengthen its supply chain. The company plans to open 70 new stores in 2026. That includes 34 Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix pharmacies and care clinics, along with 31 hard-discount No Frills and Maxi grocery stores. On top of the new openings, Loblaw will renovate another 191 stores and continue construction on a roughly 1.2 million-square-foot automated distribution center in Caledon, Ontario.
