Sammy the young woman I spoke to told me she would take care of me. I drove there and I found her at the front of the store. She was great! “Fairly new store, well stocked, lacks that terrible old rubber smell often prevalent in older HF stores. Easy access with traffic lights at entrances to the center.
UPDATE 10/21/24: In the store again last week and yesterday. Still clean, staff is very friendly and helpful. Assisted in getting a heavy item to my car without my asking - service with a smile! I highly recommend this sty.”
“Picking out paint is a whole world within itself! First the sample paint card, getting a sample of that paint, applying it to your wall only to realize it looks completely different due to several reasons. Process starts all over again, and again, oh did I mention AGAIN!Thank goodness for these 3 INCREDIBLE, KNOWLEDGEABLE, HELPFUL,PATIENT people at Dunn Edwards at this location! Dan….. Lizzy… & Travis ! Their customer service is TOP-NOTCH! I probably could have painted my whole home & fence by now with as many samples I’ve put on them to get just the right color! These 3 FABULOUS experts have been nothing short of FABULOUS!I recommend this location/ company to anyone looking for the right people to guide you especially if you need to follow strict guidelines for your HOA.I’ve owned several businesses and if they worked with me , I wouldn’t let these GREAT people go anywhere ! “My husband and I had been considering painting our kitchen cabinets for a while but despite multiple trips to store to take swatches and compare then to our walls and cabinets, we couldn't land on what would work best. We finally decided that we should go for their color consult. Marisa was amazing help and helped narrow it down to 3 options that was fit for the color of our walls.
She was super helpful in showing us which samples would be too dark or light or colors that would clash. She had alot of larger sized swatches and would hold them up next to each other to see how they'd look together. It was nice having the expertise who was so kind even with my husband's specific desires on color choice!

“I went there the other day because I was having difficulty finding the parts needed to replace or repair the valves in an old condo a couple of miles away. I went to them because I thought that they'd be familiar with the old style valves. I walked in but I had no luck finding out the manufacturer of the valve body that the condo has in it. The amazing person behind the counter came out to offer assistance and I explained the situation to him and he didn't even hesitate to walk back and get something and then returned and said try these seals to solve your problem. I asked him how much do I owe you and he replied nothing it's on me. I have been to several places before going there nobody could help me except for the man at the Van Marke plumbing. I went back to the condo and put the seals in the valves and it fixed the problem. I was so relieved and happy that I finally got it fixed. Thanks to Van Marke plumbing. Wonderful people who work in that store. Great ,helpful for others to get what they need and great customer service skills. I will always go back when I'm needing plumbing parts and in the area. Awesome place and awesome people. I give them 2 thumbs up and would recommend them to anyone who is in need of plumbing parts.”
“Gail in appliances made this outing the "Best it could be". We came in "dreading"appliance shopping. Gail came over and offered her assistance. She was amazing. We left within an hour with a kitchen full of appliances (gas stove/oven, refrigerator, above range microwave). The next day everything was installed and ready to go! “One of my favorite Home Depots. Last year our local Home Depot canceled our Christmas light order and we were without. We made do and lined the house with strands with large bulbs to get by. I almost waited too long this year again! Our local location only had 12 boxes left. Concerned about accurate inventory I placed my order out of the North Peoria location so I was hopefully guaranteeing availability. I received my email and my order was ready in a locker. If your getting a lot of items make sure to bring a cart with you to pick up. Spscious clean Home Depot. Super friendly employees. Not as busy as our local location. Usually has better inventory.”
