James us the man! He's always recommending I try a certain vehicle and he's always been right on when he suggests one. The rest of the crew there are wonderful too. Get you checked in or out and on your way in no time. Very convenient just being about 1 minute north of the 202 highway and Scottsdale rd. Usually have a pretty decent selection of smaller SUVs. I keep coming back every month. Best place in town.”

“The renting was easy in Washington the return in Tempe was a little more challenging. We returned around 915 930 and they were closed. The mechanic was nice enough to take the keys and accept the truck for me. I was grateful. We had no idea they were closed for service.”

This place is the backbone of the company. Since opening in 1970, it’s been where U-Haul designs, engineers, tests, and manufactures its trucks, trailers, and moving equipment. Seeing everything done in-house really shows how U-Haul operates as a true one-stop shop for moving and storage solutions.
The facility itself is impressive, clean, organized, and packed with innovation. You get a firsthand look at how much thought and engineering goes into the equipment people use every day.
The tour was honestly a blast and super eye-opening. It gave me a whole new appreciation for the quality, consistency, and scale behind the U-Haul brand.
If you’re in Tempe, AZ and have the chance to visit or tour the U-Haul Technical Center, don’t pass it up. It’s a unique behind-the-scenes experience you won’t forget.”

“This was a great experience. Fernando and Christina were great with me (and the other lady helping from across the room, but I did not catch her name). They quickly managed the crowds in the lobby. Christina was amazing! She assisted me with a lock issue and thoroughly explained the trainer hitch connection and disconnection process. I was supposed to go to another location, but they did not have the equipment I needed. I am glad this was the backup location. Friendly, fast, and professional service all made this experience great when it could have been awful! Thank you to the staff!”

“The girl in the previous review kept the Uhaul 5 days more than allowed, put 893 miles on the truck and dropped it in the middle of the night in the parking lot with key still in the truck!! She owes $1064, basically stole the truck till was told cops will be called, Was given 2 days grace on top of 3 days when equipment can be reported stolen if not returned or extended within 72 hours of due time. With all due respect, the location doesn’t condone mishandling of their equipment and honestly no business will put up with being ripped off by people who don’t know any better. If grievances persist, the location is happy to address them anytime.”

“The place itself was great, no issues with the unit, gate or anything like that. Staff weren't always in the building which was a bit annoying, but when they were they were awesome and worked to answer any questions I had. The location should also be considered, it's clogged with students much of the week and you have to U-turn if you're coming from the south.”

“Legit place! After spending hours dealing with other locations closed even after I set up a reservation, I was feeling defeated and annoyed about the situation. I had to go well out of my way to get here and initially, was not happy about it. After arriving and explaining my situation the guy was very empathetic and helped us out with a few discounts and really made sure we left there happy. Thank you for doing what you did. You really redeemed Penske's name in my book.”
