“Spent many an afternoon here, as a kiddo, and waited on by Chata! She was a sweet woman!! We lived just further up the road past the store on Laguna Dam Road -the Hank Zhakowski place.. Dad worked for Bruce Church Ranch in Payroll, with Sylvia Chavez. Sweet woman. She had the most beautiful hair and complexion. ? We swam at the Dominguez’ pool-just across the road from Dad’s office- as often as we could. Hung out in the tack room of the cowboys who worked the cattle on the ranch.. What wonderful, wonderful memories of living there.. Eva Gifford was our bus driver. She was a jewel. I adored her!”

“I placed an order for a balloon set over the phone. When I arrived to pick it up, it wasn't what I had in mind. After explaining what I thought I was getting, they offered to fix MY mistake. I declined but I was told it wouldn't take long and it would be what I asked for. The gentleman, I believe he was the owner, took what was already loaded up in my car and approximately 5 minutes later, I got exactly what I had envisioned. I am thankful for his kindness, he didn't need to offer to fix my mistake let alone fix it.”

It’s also like having a restaurant supply store in a mini version. Need a decent kitchen knife but don’t want to pay too much? Look no further. The produce section is small but they actually had bananas that weren’t green!!!”

“Conveniently located on the North Frontage road off the I-8 between the exits for Fortuna and 8 1/2 E. Can access either direction. This store is generally well stocked. There are occasions when supply chain has limited its merchandise. Staff is friendly and helpful. The store is well maintained and clean. They accept their brand online/digital Dollar General coupons. Frequently receipts have coupons with discounts for specified purchases on Saturday at end of each week. Give them a visit!”

“They store is always clean and stocked. A few employees stand out the most: an employee that wears thick brimmed glasses, another employee at the self checkout with slicked back hair that is always respectful, a guy who works out at the checkout whose name I think is Robert, and the manager who I always see on the floor and making things right for customers. I would give the store five stars if they didn't force a "digital coupon" and the prices not marking down until after the transaction is nearly finalized making it difficult to be sure sale prices are honored until after the transaction is made.”

“I really like this place and have purchased a few items however I think that some of the wig prices are too high, the same ones or very similar ones can be purchased online from other retailers. I will still go sometimes because it is close by and convenient. Also, the lady who owns the place is super nice.”

“I pick up as much produce as I can from here whenever I can. This stand has been here for decades. Prices are very good and selection is surprisingly wide. Now, I think this is how this store succeeds. The produce doesn't look as nice as that in the best supermarkets. That product has been grown for appearance. The product here always TASTES GREAT. It may not look terrific, but you're gonna cut the stuff up anyway. My two cents worth.”

“This is the first time we ever used a pickup at Walmart it worked really great. We then entered the store to walk around the store and use scan and go and it was our first time doing that. At first it was a little bit of a challenge as we scanned six items then did a search for a 7th item and it was difficult to get back to the car to see the items that we had already scanned. After finding the card again it was easy to check out go up to the self-checkout scan the code on the screen and we're good to go with the digital receipt”

“Albertsons, and at least this location in particular, is not my go-to place to grocery shop. I don't live super close and really only stop in here when I am already in the area. However, I have shopped here a few times now. Each time I've been pleased with how clean the store is! It's well organized, tidy, and the layout of the store makes shopping easy. The employees are also all very nice! I did notice that the prices seem a tad bit higher here for the exact same things that I typically buy at Fry's. And overall the store does not have as much to offer and is just smaller. But these are certainly not deal breakers for shopping here, especially for those that use store coupons or the rewards card (which I never think to do).”

“Perhaps because our Target in Yuma is off the beaten track I tend to forget about it for items out of stock at the usual Grocery stores but today I was beyond ecstatic! I wanted a new version of an everyday product which supposedly was on the market. My regular store failed me! I'd gotten my hopes up and looked forward to enjoying this new refreshing product! Now that temperatures are up I didn't want to spend more time in the heat on the off chance that Maybe target Might have them. For almost 20 minutes I got transferred, put on hold, disconnected called back misrouted and the. The cycle began again. That was until Becky said hello and took control. She walked the phone through the store and found a Lead named Daisy who KNEW how to place the call on hold while she put her eyes on the product. What nice ladies! Daisy went above and beyond by asking how many Items I wanted and had them waiting for me at the service desk! Bravo!! Apparently their communications systems was having issues today but these quick thinkers were not going to fail when it came to making a customer happy! Kudos to Target for hiring training and retaining good quality employees like these!”

In spite of it being a crazy busy morning the questions I had were resolved with a smile in their voices! Since COVID so often such methods of procuring Groceries has been wrought with a little uncertainty. Now that we are on the other side of the pandemic era I am happy that I can still drive up and park and have my order loaded. I understand that stores miss out on the financial benefit of our tendency to impulse shop by being in the aisles impacted by displays, advertising gimmicks etc.... But I believe that many of us have become susceptible to impulse shopping while we shop online. So be that as it May I still enjoy both methods of shopping.”

“I was in the self checkout line at Walmart on Pacific in Yuma AZ this morning (11/22/20) and I was really impressed with a young man who worked there, named Patrick. As he monitored the line he was helpful and affirming to folks no matter who they were. He was amazingly courteous and sincere with his charm and humor on top of being efficient and helpful. He was such a breath of fresh air. After being locked down, not being able to see faces, and now most help coming from self service where it can feel so impersonal- this guy made you feel connected to community and cared about and seen. All great feelings.”
