Safeway Burquitlam is a grocery store that offers a variety of products, including farm-fresh local items. Customers appreciate that the store supports charitable programs and owns several manufacturing and food processing plants. The store is open until 11 p.m., which many find convenient as there are few grocery stores open late at night. Sales and discounts, especially for Scene members, help shoppers find good deals, making shopping more affordable. Some customers have noted that prices can be higher compared to other stores, but careful selection of sale items can lead to savings.
The store provides helpful and friendly service, with staff like Fariya and Canaan receiving positive remarks for their kindness and assistance. Customers have received beautiful flower arrangements and helpful guidance in their shopping. However, experiences at the self-checkout can vary. One customer had a negative experience when they felt accused of theft due to a language barrier and misunderstanding about discounts, which caused frustration. Despite this, overall, Safeway Burquitlam is seen as a place with friendly staff, good service, and a wide selection of fresh and local products.
Great location and easy parking, great deli with friendly staff. Nice and clean store. Always my first choice when shopping.

Great bakery section with fresh bread and baked goods, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. My go-to grocery store in the area.

It was a great experience! We had a very delicious sandwich made by Mary. She prepared it so well, and her choice of sauces was absolutely delicious. Mary was very helpful, friendly, and smiling throughout the whole experience. Thank you, Mary, for the wonderful service!
