“This is Ladner’s beloved local bookstore—small town, small store, but filled with great finds. It’s impressively well-stocked, and the staff are incredibly friendly, always eager to chat and offer personalized recommendations. They also host fun monthly giveaways and create cool opportunities for community interaction, like book clubs and more. While the books might be a bit pricier than buying from Amazon or Indigo, I’m all for supporting local businesses. I love popping in from time to time, even if it’s just to browse. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel at home with books.”

“I am giving 5 stars because I don’t want to wreck the overall review and I really like the store, has great selection and something for everyone in all kinds of price ranges. However, I’m truly disappointed in the customer service and “small shop feels”. No smile, no offering of help, did not get up for anything and was wearing headphones. When I go to a boutique store I enjoy the small shop, community and personal experience but I didn’t get that here today.”

“You don't need to be a little kid to fall in love with this store. Everywhere you look is something you want to take home or share with someone special. Got myself a wooly black sheep finger puppet just because it had to come home with me. Anne, the owner was very friendly and knowledgeable about the products in the store. Can't wait to come back again soon.”

“Great place for travel guides and various maps. Competitively priced (comparing to Amazon). They do have a nice selection of world maps (framed and unframed) as well a solid selection of globes (ranging from inflatable globes to uniquely themed globes for a discerned eye).”

“John and his wife provide a much needed service to the Kerrisdale neighbourhood in proving a full service magazine and newspaper shop together with lottery and some snacks...seven days a week!! I cannot recall a day that they have not been open. They are totally dedicated to their many long term customers. It's wonderful to have such a commitment to the community.”

“They have fast service, decently-priced merchandise, and quality textbooks!I'd recommend ordering online and either having the package shipped to your house or picked up at the bookstore because the lineups in the first week(s) of class can be quite long. However, if you want to shop in-store, it would be best to go as early as possible (just as they open up) or a bit later in the afternoon.”

“This chaotic little bookstore has a lot of everything given the size. You find the coolest things in books and cranny’s and the staff has a playful yet knowledgeable side to them. I always find things I was and wasn’t looking for when I pop in.”

“A nice big store. Inventory is decent. No more Starbucks. Only one entrance now. Really good selection of kids toys and crafts and various books. Parking available underneath the mall.”
