“The old Rutherford Mall! Even after the name change people still refer to it as the Rutherford lol. Anchored by Rona and London drugs, there are a few little coffee shops inside with some specialty store like Centre Court Collectibles.
Fairway Market, Dollarama, the movie theater and Fit4less are accessed from the outside.
The mall itself is roomier than most and well maintained. Its clean and the washrooms are good.

“University Village Mall is a surprisingly good mall. There are a lot of food options though generally of the fast food variety and not necessarily the healthiest of choices. That, along with the usual terrible Nanaimo parking lot do it down to four stars.”

“Every time I stop in this area I see some wild stuff. I think I felt safest around the mall area when I was in this area. Don’t think I would want to wonder around here late at night though… that said, all the business I stopped in at had very friendly staff.”

“Nice mall in Nanaimo with all the stores I need. Good food court with a solid mix of options, plus a café and a Tim Hortons, and a movie theatre. Only thing I’d change is having it open later on more days — otherwise a great, easy place to shop.”
