“Don’t waste time at MEC…Coast Sports knows cross country skiing and all of the gear they stock intimately. Don’t guess just spend a couple hundred more and get a setup that will work for you ( and set it up) and people that want to help you find what you think you’re looking for regardless of skill level. My advice let them make the major decisions if you don’t really know yourself. Every manufacturer has their own specifications for sizing and setup?”

“My Arcteryx Beta AR jacket circa 2011 required some repairs. I was apprehensive to send it in as online reviews indicate warranty based customer service can be hit and miss. I brought the jacket into the Calgary store on Jan 4 and had it repaired, delivered to my house, back in hand by Jan 21. From my vantage point the customer service and repair were both excellent.
If you do have an older Arcteryx jacket that needs repairs, I recommend specifically asking Arcteryx to repair vs replace. Newer Arcteryx products aren't built like they used to be.”

I am not that hip and trendy, but the worker there, Grace, helped me figure out what my daughter would like, while also being TREMENDOUSLY kind and helpful. “I’m not all for big companies and the costs but in a day of dying customer service I can’t say enough about the team at this location today!
While waiting on my daughter to finish try ons I witnessed a shop lifter and immediately let the change attendant know. In the midst of dealing with him, taking my online order and working out which pair of leggings my girl wanted as momma is frugal so she only gets one; we were so grateful for the team’s kind and generous service.
The staff went above and beyond to assist us and to show gratitude for what I saw as doing the right thing. More importantly this entire experience occurred with my girl there. A child who struggles with anxiety, fear and finding her voice; today she saw the result speaking up and how far kindness and appreciation for doing so can go.
