“Best financial services anywhere. John Cindric our financial advisor is so friendly. We go to talk over our investments and everything gets updated and looked after. Never been to a bank where they treat the client with as much respect. Such a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Everyone at ParkGate branch or Lonsdale main branch are very attentive and friendly. The concierge goes out of their way to make sure you're looked after. Bringing you a beverage as well. Banking was never so easy.”

“I went in to open up an account a few months ago as I heard that credit unions have better service when compared to banks however, I didn't know that it would be an execptional experience.When I went in, I was greeted by Aftab who is an advisor at the branch. he guided me through the process of opening up the account and educated me about TFSA and RRSP's simultaneously. I was truly impressed by his work ethics and his approach towards his clients.Moreover, he was great on follow up and last week I got a call from him, asking about my well being due to COVID. I highly recommend them and really appreciate the efforts they make.”

“I had an extremely frustrating experience today. I patiently waited in line, eager to deposit my cheque and cash, which amounted to $2,700 from the cheque and $2,800 from my rental income. To my astonishment, the teller somehow managed to complete the transaction in a way that showed $2,700 deposited via cheque and $2,800 cash withdrawn on my receipt.Excuse me, but I can recognize a mistake when I see one, and this seemed far from accidental. Instead, it appeared intentional. The teller concluded the transaction, leaving me with the false impression that everything was properly deposited. In reality, my cheque for $2,700 might have been deposited as intended, but the teller essentially pocketed the $2,800 cash I had brought in for deposit. To make matters worse, an additional $2,800 in cash was somehow marked as a withdrawal, bringing the total to $5,600.If I hadn't meticulously checked the receipt to confirm its accuracy, I could have easily had $5,600 mysteriously vanish from my account. This experience is nothing short of ridiculous and entirely unacceptable. It ranks as the worst service, if not the most suspicious service, I've ever encountered compared to any other bank.EDIT: This specific branch has consistently provided good service to me in the past, with the exception of my recent experience.I received a callback from the branch, and they not only offered a sincere apology but also assured me that the amounts were properly adjusted. It's reassuring to see their commitment to resolving issues promptly.”

“Amreetpal was very swift on opening my vancity account. Was able to fit me in without an appointment. Only downside is that this branch isn’t open on Mondays, which is very strange for a financial institution. The whole process was smooth, I got everything I needed to be done within 15 minutes. Great service.”

“walked in without and appointment to open an account and they were able to find Kito who was available. overall, was happy with the service he provided. however, reading the paperwork before signing, i was asked to acknowledge that i received a copy of their privacy terms and some other info. Kito said they don’t provide booklets of that info anymore, and that it is available online. so i will ask Vancity to change that wording since i DID NOT RECEIVE A COPY.also, 0 lines at the time i went which was a monday at 1pm.”

“Brentwood Branch #43 is actually my home branch. I have been with this location for 15 yrs. Started off making this my home branch as a staff member back in 2008, & after words now I am dealing with this branch as a Vancity Client. I have always recieved above average customer service from the staff at this branch. Very helpful, friendly, knowledgable, Curtious, & always found a solution to my problem. Infact I have only had to call to the front desk & explained what financial difficulty I was facing & the account manager solved my issue just over the phone in less than 10 minute's. I personally recommend Vancity Credit Union to everyone I speak with as it is considered a people's Bank & we the public choose what happens at our Credit Union Branch.”

“I feel for the tellers that face the horrible customers on the frontline. In branch I’ve witnessed 2 verbally aggressive customers who complained about not being able to access their account because no ID. Who in the world thinks they can use and access a bank account if they have no ID?! If we weren’t suppose to present ID then any f*cker can access my account so I am thankful coast make sure ID is presented before account info is given. Coast is strict with the security of their customers accounts and I respect that. All of these nasty reviews are most likely because the customers weren’t abiding by their rules. Yeah they’re understaffed, but isn’t the whole damn world facing a shortage. It’s common sense people. I’ve been banking with coast for 12 years, and every teller I’ve been to tries their best and always shows respect. All of my GIC’s were granted a rate exception which means a lot to me. They also call when my investments are due which is helpful because I always forget about them. Thank you coast and the hardworking staff!! Keep it up. They are an awesome bank.”
