I was truly impressed by his work ethics and his approach towards his clients.Moreover, he was great on follow up and last week I got a call from him, asking about my well being due to COVID. “Saint Paul's hospital lost my ID and bank card when I was admitted for an injury. CC was very helpful in allowing me to make a cash withdrawl despite having zero credentials . Don't worry folks , I had to answer a slough of questions that only the real me would know the answers to before I was given a dime.very very helpful and amazingly friendly tellers and manager at the branch I attended on Georgia Street in downtown Vancouver BC. The branch on Broadway were rude , unhelpful and snooty . They lied to me and the manager backed up the lies I was dished out . All I needed was $100 . Not like I wanted 10 grand or anything . The questions they asked me were irrelevant to my purpose and there is not one person in existence who can recall how much cash they withdrew 100 days ago...I knew my pin, my address , my sin #, my last 3 transactions , my monthly deposits amounts to the penny , which city and branch I opened my acct. What the date was that I opened my acct . The gender of the teller who opened it , the process I used to open my acct, etc etc ....the CC at 445 Broadway did not care at all about the fact I was stuck in Vancouver because of st Paul's losing my credentials , they were rude and when I got a little upset they threatened to call the police on me . Even the security guard was on my side . He said nothing to me at all but seemed astonished by the manager and tellers reaction to my problem . As well as other customers seemed amazed at how rudely I was treated .....all in all CC is great but every business has its quirks. So I'm still giving 5 stars except to 445 Broadway I give minus a million stars for real.”

“I feel for the tellers that face the horrible customers on the frontline. In branch I’ve witnessed 2 verbally aggressive customers who complained about not being able to access their account because no ID. Who in the world thinks they can use and access a bank account if they have no ID?! If we weren’t suppose to present ID then any f*cker can access my account so I am thankful coast make sure ID is presented before account info is given. Coast is strict with the security of their customers accounts and I respect that. All of these nasty reviews are most likely because the customers weren’t abiding by their rules. Yeah they’re understaffed, but isn’t the whole damn world facing a shortage. It’s common sense people. I’ve been banking with coast for 12 years, and every teller I’ve been to tries their best and always shows respect. All of my GIC’s were granted a rate exception which means a lot to me. They also call when my investments are due which is helpful because I always forget about them. Thank you coast and the hardworking staff!! Keep it up. They are an awesome bank.”

“I am going to give the benefit of the doubt, today I’m going to go in strictly off of their “commitment to customer service” promise, it will be a simple, yet not super easy transaction, just a common sense and display of how much value a person has, the account is not new, it’s been there for years, stopped doing the main banking few years ago, now have a large sum from asset sale which need to decide who it’s best with, I have gone to a couple of other banks and recorded my experience, I will be making a compilation of the complete banking experience in lower mainland when you have very little and need bank to help (within their regular powers obviously) …. This will help decide who really values people, and the relationship, you never know who has something big.
I will throw them a Bone, It will be this afternoon before they close, I’m starting with perfect score and will update accordingly! Don’t let me down .

Always great service with a smile, but if you are lucky enough to be attended by Tonee (hope that is tge right spelling), you are set for the best customer service in British Columbia. That is my opinion after 34 years of banking experience and having dealt with more than 40 branches from HSBC, RBC, TD, BMO, Scotiabank, and more than 15 different CoastCapital branches.
CoastCapital is lucky to have her.
Perhaps she should be promoted to teach others what it takes to serve a customer at the next level.”
