“Had to go to the bank today, don't do that often these days. I had an issue with access to view my line of credit on my web banking, on my mobile ap. I was helped by Puneet. He was thoughtful, kind, and listened to my whole story without interruption. He has great insight to think about my situation and offer help based on my circumstances. He was always calm, and took everything in. I asked a lot of questions and he set my expectations well by saying first he would do x, then deal with the other stuff. He linked my line of credit to my card, to show on my ap, and reminded me twice to expect a delay before I would see it. “If you are honest with yourself, banks and finances can be intimidating. I have found that I naturally migrated to Credit Unions over the years because of this fact. But, sadly not all Credit Unions understand exactly the benefits and empowerment that they can give to their clients. Some CU's are Bank want-to-be's (I'm looking at You Vancity) and some play way too small to be able to help their members and themselves to grow slowly and evenly and honestly.
Coast Capital is very different, it understands the assignment, help our members - how they are, where they are - and ask them what do they need to get where they want to go.
And it doesn't matter your level of financial knowledge and understanding - because I am aware, informed, and smart - but not financially educated.
But here comes Christine, my Financial Advisor (I now have a financial advisor - sorry Uncle, and Guy at Work - mind blown).
Christine made the whole loan process informative and easy and she spent time making sure we got a plan in order for upcoming financial goals while solving / alleviating my present pressures and challenges. Wow. I feel good, lighter, relaxed.
