Willow Wind Feed & Pet Food
2714 Sooke Rd, VictoriaI often drop by here to buy manure and gardening supplies. Every time I go, I get warmed up to the kindness of all the staff inside and outside. Everything that deals with people is never going to be easy. Nevertheless, I think their attitude toward us with a consistent smile is the best. I also get expressionless when I visit certain stores that do something passive with expressionless and indifferent. I love this place that always makes me feel grateful.

Bosley's
4478 W Saanich Rd #104, VictoriaI had an excellent experience at Bosley's today. Selina went above and beyond to help me find the best products for my cat, who has ongoing UTI issues and can be quite picky with food. She took the time to listen to my concerns, explained the different options clearly, and recommended products that would support both urinary health and better dental hygiene while being easier for my cat to tolerate.
Her knowledge, patience, and genuine care made the whole experience stress-free. I really appreciated the personalized service and left feeling confident that I was making the right choices for my cat.
Thank you, Selina, for your exceptional customer service, expertise, and genuine care. And thank you to MJ at the front desk for the warm welcome and friendly service. I'll definitely be returning to Bosley's for all of my pet care needs.

Wild Birds Unlimited
3631 Shelbourne St, VictoriaI am not one to write reviews when visiting any business in Victoria. This being said I must write one on the visit I had recently to the store in Victoria. Every time I visit to purchase seed, suet or merchandise at Wild Birds Unlimited, I am greeted with outstanding professional and friendly staff who are always willing to let you know they are there to help you to find your products. Their knowledge and excellent customer service is a 10/10. It is obvious they love their jobs and enjoy working in the shop. Even if they only have one staff member, it is obvious the person loves to show off new items as well. If I have had questions related to some merchandise, I have found that they are so helpful to ensure I get the best knowledge about it. I enjoy the videos of birds plus the extra walks and talks that are planned. The talk on Crows was exceptional. A great event. I believe this business is essential for Victoria residents who love their birds. I do feel more staffing is essential at times when it is very busy. One person is willing to help however, when it is busy, stores should provide extra staffing. I sincerely hope the present staff is notified of their excellence in customer service and people skills in helping people who love birds. Bravo to Wild Birds Unlimited on Shelbourne. Your staff and shop continues to provide a great need in our city. I think the staff requires extra rewards and compliments for the hard work they do to show their love of their jobs! ( Donna Slemko a loyal customer)

Bosley's
491 East Burnside Rd E, VictoriaI love this pet shop! They have everything we need for our cat and our weenie dog and are so friendly and knowledgeable.
A few weeks ago I went in for Feliway or to try to calm my cat down on car rides. One of the staff (I don't remember her name but I think she was the manager) had just done a pet First Aid course and suggested that I put the cat in a carrier with a blanket over it so the cat couldn't see out. IT HAS BEEN A GAME-CHANGER. I can take my cat anywhere and it's so simple.
THANK YOJ SO MUCH 😊

Fernwood Grooming
1413 Camosun St, VictoriaLesley always does a fantastic job with my Misiu's groom! Switched to Fernwood Grooming after having a few too many close calls with other groomers cutting my pomeranian's hair too short. Haven't looked back since and I'm always really happy with the work they've done.
He's a nervous guy, too, but I can tell when I pick him up that he's calmed down quite a bit. It helps that she gives him treats and he gets to spend time with her dogs, too. :)
The little bandana is always the sweetest touch.

The Naughty Dogge, Monique Anstee
1633 Kangaroo Rd, VictoriaI’ve had the privilege of attending both the original Shadow Week and Shadow Week 2.0, and each time I’ve come away with a deeper understanding of dogs, myself, and the relationship between us.
What I enjoy most about this program is the philosophy of letting dogs truly be dogs—giving them freedom and space to be themselves instead of micromanaging or over-controlling their behaviours. It’s less about rigid management and more about understanding where your dog is at: when to simply let them be, when to step in with support, and when a correction is actually appropriate.
This program helped me approach dogs less as a math equation and more as individuals. It has shifted the way I think about training: I learned to pause, observe, and respond thoughtfully instead of trying to predict or control every outcome.
Another highlight is the community it creates. You’re surrounded by people who share the same passion, which makes it easy to bounce ideas around, ask questions without judgment, and deepen your understanding of why, how, and when to act with dogs.
The balance of hands-on training and observation is invaluable. Watching other dogs work through challenges, it pushed me to think outside the box and be more creative in my handling. This program has not only improved the way I interact with my own dogs, but also given me a clearer sense of what’s going on in their heads and what’s truly supportive versus unnecessary interference.
For anyone looking to expand their skills, gain perspective, and walk away with practical tools for real-life training, Monique’s Shadow Week is an incredible experience

Macaloney's Distillery
761 Enterprise Crescent, VictoriaCame here at just after 4pm today on a whim. Clearly we hadn’t checked their opening time ahead of our visit and when we rolled up it was closing. However as we were planning our next move their finance guys happened to be leaving and asked if we would like to be servers some whiskey and beer. Of course we said yes! He opened everything back up for us and proceeded to served some samples and a tasting flight. Then he gave us a little tour of the back. Clearly MacAloney’s finance guy cares about the bottom line because we bought a few bottles. But more than that he cares about service and keeping customers happy. What a great afternoon and what a great place! Oh and their whiskey is fantastic too.

Wheelies Motorcycles & Cafe
2620 Rock Bay Ave, VictoriaHeard about this place awhile ago from 365prowrestling since they occasionally do live pro wrestling events here.
Originally went months ago on a Saturday afternoon but it was packed and too crowded to even be able to look around at all the unique crazy spectacular decor or to take photos since too many customers were there.
Kept seeing 5 star reviews so decided to finally go back and try the food this time.
Went on a weekday afternoon. Very quiet and relaxed this time with tons of empty tables and I was able to actually look around at everything this time.
My latte was in a huge Mug and over flowing in a good way. The server did an awesome job of bringing it to my table without spilling it since it was full to the max.
The Brisket sandwich I ordered was massive. I managed to finish most of it. Very tasty and I added the Hotwheels sauce they had on my table.
Awesome presentation and taste. Massive sandwich and they had the knife 🔪 sticking out of it.
Was definitely worth the price and I'll be coming back again to try another unique item to feast on in the future.
After my meal I was extremely full and totally stuffed but managed to look around in the cool gift/merchandise shop they have.
Stuffed raccoon in a Jean jacket on display and lots of cool posters and shirts 👕

Emmaline’s
2571 Quadra Street, VictoriaGreat food and great service. We started with the feta and flat bread, increadible dough and the feta was really great. I ordered the vegetarian lasagna which was on their fresh picks menu. Outstanding flavour in the tomato sauce and it came with a side of Caesar salad. Definitely homemade dressing and it was very very good. My girlfriend ordered the trout, which wasn’t my favourite. It was well cooked but could maybe be more seasoned. Only big draw back are the prices. Nothing unbelievable but I don’t think the serving sizes justify the cost. Overall it was a great experience and I would certainly recommend. Will be coming back!

Phillips Tasting Room
2010 Government St, VictoriaPhillips is a brewery in Victoria. It's easy to get to and this part of town has parking available in plenty of spots. It's pretty big and has a few dozen tables inside plus an outdoor seating area. They have plenty of beers on tap plus canned ones as well, on top of a merch shop in the front. They have windows so you can view the actual brewery which is cool. The staff here are awesome, very friendly and fun to chat with. This is a solid spot to grab a beer with friends or even some food, which they have a decent sized menu with good portions for a solid price.
