Every time I visit to purchase seed, suet or merchandise at Wild Birds Unlimited, I am greeted with outstanding professional and friendly staff who are always willing to let you know they are there to help you to find your products. Their knowledge and excellent customer service is a 10/10. It is obvious they love their jobs and enjoy working in the shop. Even if they only have one staff member, it is obvious the person loves to show off new items as well. If I have had questions related to some merchandise, I have found that they are so helpful to ensure I get the best knowledge about it. I enjoy the videos of birds plus the extra walks and talks that are planned. The talk on Crows was exceptional. A great event. I believe this business is essential for Victoria residents who love their birds. I do feel more staffing is essential at times when it is very busy. One person is willing to help however, when it is busy, stores should provide extra staffing. I sincerely hope the present staff is notified of their excellence in customer service and people skills in helping people who love birds. Bravo to Wild Birds Unlimited on Shelbourne. Your staff and shop continues to provide a great need in our city. I think the staff requires extra rewards and compliments for the hard work they do to show their love of their jobs! Everything that deals with people is never going to be easy. Nevertheless, I think their attitude toward us with a consistent smile is the best. I also get expressionless when I visit certain stores that do something passive with expressionless and indifferent. I love this place that always makes me feel grateful.

She has such a kind and compassionate disposition and is incredibly thoughtful and thorough. After each visit she would take the time to ask me about her health, and let me know if anything seemed “off” while she was being groomed, like a sore paw, or if an area was tender, which I so appreciated.
I will miss seeing you Flora, and thank you for all the love you gave to my sweet girl. You are forever in our hearts.

Selina went above and beyond to help me find the best products for my cat, who has ongoing UTI issues and can be quite picky with food. She took the time to listen to my concerns, explained the different options clearly, and recommended products that would support both urinary health and better dental hygiene while being easier for my cat to tolerate.
Her knowledge, patience, and genuine care made the whole experience stress-free. I really appreciated the personalized service and left feeling confident that I was making the right choices for my cat.

They have a wide selection of product and the staff are courteous and efficient. I go every month on Seniors Day and Mel always has my dog food put aside. She is friendly and helpful to everyone; including the other staff. I also use their dog bath area, and it feels like going to a doggy spa.
Really, it doesn't get better than this.

Truly a master groomer, she knows what she is doing. She was also able to fit my appointment in before I needed to head out of town.

2154 Oak Bay Avenue, VictoriaWe took our dog to use their self wash stations and wow, they were fantastic. Large and spacious (especially for our French Bulldog), with a great sprayer and dryer. They supply everything, although we brought in our own special shampoo and ear flush. They provided towels and the team was very welcoming and friendly. I checked out their food selection and it was varied with excellent brands. If we lived in Victoria this would be our go-to let store.

1413 Camosun Street, VictoriaLesley always does a fantastic job with my Misiu's groom! Switched to Fernwood Grooming after having a few too many close calls with other groomers cutting my pomeranian's hair too short. Haven't looked back since and I'm always really happy with the work they've done.
He's a nervous guy, too, but I can tell when I pick him up that he's calmed down quite a bit. It helps that she gives him treats and he gets to spend time with her dogs, too. :)
The little bandana is always the sweetest touch.

We found exactly that in Dr. Durmuller, whose professionalism, compassion, and exceptional care have reassured us that our beloved pet is in good hands.
The client care team is equally thoughtful and welcoming. They pay attention to each pet’s individual needs and take care to keep everyone comfortable and safe. For example, when a reactive dog is entering or leaving the clinic, they kindly alert other pet parents to keep their pets close and allow some space. Small gestures like these show just how much they care.
There is a level of compassion here that we haven’t experienced anywhere else. Thank you, Dr. Durmuller and the entire team, for caring for our fur baby with such kindness and dedication.

The Naughty Dogge, Monique Anstee
1633 Kangaroo Road, VictoriaI came to Naughty Dogge through a series of unfortunate events where another trainer exacerbated problems with my GSD puppy. Monique reached out, offering to help set things right with my boy despite her busy schedule thanks to her compassion and love of the breed (and all dogs).
It was starkly apparent to me how in tune with her pups she was and how quickly she taught me how to tune into mine. Her joy for what she loves, dogs, was palpable. Within 1 hour, my buddy’s spirits (and mine) were lifted with what he could do. Proving to us both he was capable in spite of previous bad experiences. Now, I happily have homework and a little pup who knows other dogs aren’t as scary as they seemed just a few days ago.
I am excitedly waiting to hear about the next set of available classes because I WILL be there to learn more. I know working with Monique and her team will keep my buddy on the right path for a positive and happy life full of freedom and adventure. I cannot recommend Monique and Naughty Dogge enough. She has probably prevented yet another GSD becoming aggressively dog reactive. I am eternally grateful for her kindness and guidance. ❤

The bun was soft and perfectly toasted, and the fresh ingredients—crispy bacon, ripe tomatoes, and vibrant greens—made every bite incredible. On top of the amazing food and warm coffee, the ladies working here are wonderfully kind and welcoming, which made the gorgeous waterfront view even more enjoyable. I got the Mahoney which ended up being for me, two cheese lettuce tomato sandwiches with fried chicken on top, fries, another type of seasoned chicken breast in strips, and a huge salad. It was all delicious! I genuinely had fun with the surprise me. I also tried some of the bc hash which was absolutely full of flavor with delicious bacon and salsa.
I would recommend eating here it was really fun despite super slow service.

I ordered the vegetarian lasagna which was on their fresh picks menu. Outstanding flavour in the tomato sauce and it came with a side of Caesar salad. Definitely homemade dressing and it was very very good. My girlfriend ordered the trout, which wasn’t my favourite. It was well cooked but could maybe be more seasoned. Only big draw back are the prices. Nothing unbelievable but I don’t think the serving sizes justify the cost. Overall it was a great experience and I would certainly recommend. Will be coming back!
