10159 Old Olympic Hwy, SequimDoes this store have a wide selection of products? No, but it is in a small space in a little strip mall and they do what they can with the space allowed. I would not have known of this place if I hadn't seen their booth at the Port Angeles Home Show last spring. I like this store because it is small, the staff is friendly, and they always greet me and ask if I need assistance when I come in. They have a resident calico ready for petting too! I come here because they have a nice array of bulk dog biscuits similar to the ones I could get at a Mud Bay Granary, but there is no MBG near here. I find the biscuit selection to be better than the nearby Petco.

I called and left a voice message and got a call back from a wonderful lady named Michelle, and she was multitasking so she did have to.place me on hold but it's totally fine with me as I was nervous and wanted to make sure this was a good choice for not just my dog but me as well. I am getting older so my body's not as strong as my mind remembers... those bathtubs that raise are amazing and I thought it was gonna be more difficult than it was to get my water hating dog into it. Now it did take my partner getting his back end and I had front end of our 75 or 80 pound mutt to get into bathtub, and my belly fat kept unlocking the latch ???. But I am sure next time we can cut the 30 minutes into the 20 minutes slot, but still worth ever penny of that 40 bucks and tip!!!! It's truly a wonderful place and I know I will return with Capone (my dog) very soon now I know what I need to do ? my back appreciates you being here!!!!

I’ve not had an I have not had a dog in 30 years, until a couple of years ago when we got our four month sheep-a-doodle. As an highly committed but nervous new father I wanted to care for our new family member as best as possible. We initially went to Graywolf for his first few months of initial care and we were satisfied UNTIL we had what I thought needed to be an emergency visit on a Friday morning. The vet caring for our animal was on duty that day, but throughout the morning and into the afternoon, and up until late afternoon, she would not see him because she was “too busy”. I bet if it was her dog, or a family member’s dog, she would not have been “too busy”. I was shocked that she would not even have a phone call with me. The person at reception suggested we take our dog all the way over to Silverdale! Wow, what a slap in the face. I immediately knew I would never return to that place, and have never done so. In a very stressful situation (4PM on a Friday) I got a referral from our neighbor suggesting I call Blue Mountain, who after never seeing our dog before immediately said “We’re pretty busy, but we agree with you that he should be seen, so bring him in”. We were not a patient, but they spent a good couple of minutes with me on the phone, heard the desperation in my voice, and acted as if they really cared (because they did).
From the first moment, I was completely impressed with every single member of their team, and after all of our visits through the last 18 months or so I have always had a wonderful experience.

Blue Mountain is locally owned and operated, with a great attitude and empathy clearly on display at all times. On the phone, text messaging, or in person, I’ve never been even slightly disappointed with anyone. I’m generally not an easy guy to please because I’ve been in customer facing businesses my whole life, but the way these good doctors and professionals run this business is an example of how to do it right for any business.
It is a massive relief knowing that there are professionals close by that care about our four legged family member as much as we could ever hope for.

They gave me the steroid and antibiotics that she needed right there so I didn’t have to go to the pharmacy. Dr. Black coordinated with a specialist in Seattle to save my pup’s eye. So grateful for quick and amazing care. The entire staff I dealt with was so kind and understanding. So grateful for their services!!

I also loved getting daily photos from Belinda, which gave me peace of mind and let me see how happy and comfortable my dog was. That kind of communication makes a huge difference.

Uptown Cats
1076 Towne Rd, SequimHer Highness stayed at Uptown Cats in Sequim for about two weeks this Spring. When I picked her up she seemed very content and only mildly interested in seeing me. Apparently she enjoyed her time at Uptown Cats, watching birds from the window in her room and playing in the play area. I'm so relieved there is a good place close to home to board Her Highness.

Ordered their carne asada burrito, and the taste was just okay and the portion size was very small compared to previous visits. Expected a bit more for $25. Giving 4 stars since I've have years of good experiences here but this last visit was maybe 2-3 stars.

I tried their Honey Lavender Latte with extra shots (hey, I am in lavender country) and it was fantastic. Prices on par with other coffee shops, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and I loved the giving tree… where you can donate the value of a cup of coffee/some food to someone(s) of your choosing. I was scanning the cards that you handwrite and loved them, particularly “ a school bus driver”, “someone recently laid off” and “someone from outside the US. What a lovely way to give back ❤️

Wind Rose Cellars
143 W Washington St, Sequim5/13/26: stopped in to check out some local wine after visiting Sol Duc Falls.
Not only were we treated to good wine, but we enjoyed some local talent (Johnny) playing guitar & singing (yes, we sang along a bit; no, we were not tipsy :-) ).
Washington’s wines, or at least this region’s, lean toward the dry side. Wind Rose did have a moscato they identified as sweet but I would say semi-sweet. It was still good!
The appetizers we enjoyed were the meat & cheese plate, baked brie w/ sour cherry, and the olive tapenade & hummus plate. All very tasty.
The server was a young French gentleman who was polite & friendly.
