Sonja C. Webster-Hills, DVM
850 Mullis St, Friday HarborMy little Macy kitty got sick on the road trip to San Juan Island. Islands Veteran clinic made time for us the day we arrived (even as a first time customer.) Everyone there helped her fell comfortable and got her feeling better right away. They did a great job so Macy & I highly recommends them.

Harbor Veterinary Services
864 Spring St Ste 10, Friday HarborNo nonsense, compassionate care! My pup was neutered at Harbor Vet recently and they took very good care of him. The staff is lovely to work with, and clearly knows their stuff. I really like the low key approach and appreciate the low-zero wait times for appointments and when we go in. I am very glad we have this trustworthy option on SJI.

Pet-Friendly Restaurants

Westcott Bay Shellfish Co.
904 Westcott Dr, Friday HarborAmazing place! Great food and vibe…short a 5th star because they always have a way to let you know that they’re in the oyster farm business. NOT hospitality. It just comes across weird, pretty much every visit.

Spring Street Deli
135 Spring St, Friday HarborHad a day trip to San Juan Island - we stopped by this deli which is right by the ferry terminal and bought a couple sandwiches, then took them to Lime Kiln State Park where they have several picnic tables with incredible views. The sandwiches were fantastic - they definitely don't skimp on the meat!

Madrone Bar + Kitchen
40 First St S, Friday HarborWhat a cute spot with great outdoor seating (and they have blankets available)! We noticed the brunch sign and went in to check it out, and I'm so glad we did.
Waffles were very CRISP, but nice and chewy when bit into. You know how sometimes belgian waffles can be kind of limp and mushy? Not these! My husband got the lemon raspberry waffles and the topping was so delicious it didn't need syrup or butter at all. I had a plain waffle and ate most of it naked.
Really liked the chia pudding. The variety of toppings were delicious. Loved the pistachios and cream in particular. If you're looking for something light I would recommend it.
You should eat here! :)

San Juan Island Brewing Co.
410 A St, Friday HarborA local’s review here: The San Juan Island Brewing Company is so much more than a brewery to all us islanders. Yes, the local craft beer is award winning, the food menu always hits the spot, and the staff is friendly and efficient. But it also holds popular community events such as trivia nights, hosts local fundraising events and partners with local nonprofits to benefit islanders. It is often our go-to destination for after-work meet-ups, birthdays, celebrations and end-of-season sports team parties. It is a place where islanders come for connection and community. “The Brewery” is an incredible asset to our small island and is just the kind of local business to support when you’re in town!

Salty Fox Coffee
85 Front St, Friday HarborSuper charming coffee spot in an old house with great views of the harbor. Rustic old school vibe inside, some outdoor tables as well. Rocky Bay Cafe & Delicatessen
225 Spring St, Friday HarborMy sister and I both ordered chai tea lattes. They were served in glass mugs and never cooled down. We drank very little since it was so hot, but what we did drink was a little watery. Disappointing. But what wasn’t disappointing was the breakfast wraps. These are huge and stuffed with flavor. We easily could have just shared one and still left full.

50 Duck Soup Ln, Friday HarborCute and quaint rustic ambiance with friendly staff. The menu isn’t very big but there is a little something for everyone. We had the scallops, king salmon, and pork loin. Ended the meal with creme brûlée and key lime pie. Would definitely come back again.
