“Overall great experience renting a car. The staff was friendly. Car was clean. I did all the pre check in so I could go straight to the car. My only complaint is that the Alamo cars are under a “National” canopy. I got outside and the small booth was empty and I walked around awhile trying to figure out which lot to go to but a guy helped explain the National/Alamo cars are together. Wasn’t a huge deal. I think it took 10 mins from the time I was dropped off to the time I drove out of the lot. First time using Alamo. I will definitely rent from Alamo again.”

“Easy to book online. Checked in and got my rental car in less than 20 min. Had to extend online and was not charged once I returned the rental early. The car I reserved was in good conditon and clean. Staff even offered to give me a ride to the nearby dealership to pick up my own car. Everyone was friendly and helpful. “I rented a 15-person passenger van through this office to shuttle some friends of mine from out of town around for the weekend. Pickup on Friday went smooth thanks to the friendly staff, and the van was great.
On Saturday night (in classic Oakland style) the catalytic converter was stolen. I had insurance, but was almost sure I wouldn’t get a comparable vehicle on such short notice for Sunday.
When I brought the van in to exchange first thing Sunday, the staff were extremely understanding and helpful, but initially didn’t have another van to give me. However, the service rep, Ella, noticed another 15-passenger van was due to be returned that morning. She processed the return on that van super fast so that me and my friends could get back on the road.

Kevin, the gentleman at the front counter, was incredibly helpful and made my process the smoothest it's been at a car rental counter. With the rise in prices of Turo and other car share services, I am thrilled to be able to go to Hertz instead when I am in the area.”
