“Really enjoyed driving the Hyundai Elantra it was great on gas, the car was very clean when I picked it up.
Really enjoyed driving it through the mountains and through the sequoia nation park. Zipping through the tight turns and hair pin turns was a breeze . The vehicle was very responsive so over all a great driving experience. I used the smart mod throughout my journey and still provided plenty of pep.”

“My experience was quite positive overall. It started off badly when I was offered a rather old Jeep Compass with about 20 scratches, but only 10 of them were recorded in the protocol. A woman from SIXT agreed to add the remaining scratches, but eventually my patience ran out, and I insisted on changing the car. The new car was a much newer GMC Terrain, which was great. Still, they shouldn’t have such junk in their fleet at all — I don’t understand why I was offered it in the first place. The guy working on the floor with the cars was great, though — unfortunately, I don’t remember his name.”
“Great service from online booking to car pick up to drop off and checking out. Top notch!! But beware of refueling charge - we were rushed and couldn’t get to gas station so they charged us $9 a gallon!! Pretty crazy pricing even when selling for $5 and change everywhere in SF!! It doesn’t cost that much labor to fill up a half a tank of gas!! Maybe you like to hose over all the corporate renters but there are plenty of personal renters too! It really soured the whole experience at the finish line!!”

“I tried returning the car to the Folsom location on Friday night and they were closed. Was able to drop off the car here no questions asked. Treatment was incredibly friendly and was able to remove the additional day for I wasn’t charged extra without much effort/ explanation. Would definitely return rental cars with them again.”
“Rented a car on the 26th of May and returned on the 27th May, everything went nice and smooth. Just want to give a huge shout out to the handsome Korean man who helped with checking out the car. He was extremely helpful and nice. Even guided us how to pay the toll online. Would definitely recommend this branch.”

They were super helpful and even suggested local spots to visit where we were traveling to. I left my purse in the car on accident and flew out of the city before I realized. City Rent a Car found it and priority shipped it to me in 2 days across the country!! “Was a bit hesitant when I read the reviews on Google Maps, but reserved a car regardless because it seems better than other places within walking distance.
There was a line of 4-5 people when I arrived with one gentleman at the counter, and another in the garage. The line moved swiftly and the total wait time was around 15 min possibly less..
The car they gave me was well taken care of, zero complaints. Overall I had a 5/5 experience here!”

“Ran into a sudden severe snowstorm in Portland, Oregon where I had rented a car through Getaround. Had to have it towed back to the home zone. Called Getaround support and they worked hard and did their best to ensure a good experience for me regarding the rental and made sure I was safe. They promised over the phone everything would be worked out and they kept to their word. Five stars for ease of use of their platform and great customer service. -Jesse from Portland”
“Picked up our car when leaving SF for a 17 day tour of California. I'd booked a Full-size SUV (Group Z) through Budget UK website as was nervous as to what we'd get. Ended up being a 2025 Chevy Tahoe LT with 1400 miles on it. Absolutely perfect - the car was amazing and I couldn't have been happier with it. The service was efficient but perhaps a little brusque - I tried to confirm excesses, insurances, no toll tags etc but the lady wasn't that interested. However, booking through UK gave me all that I needed without requiring extras. Drop off at LAX was super easy and efficient as well.”

It’s right across from the Moscone Center — very convenient. They have both Avis and Budget at the same location, and only electric cars are available.
We returned the car at SFO Airport and then took the Blue Line AirTrain to the terminal.
You need to make sure the battery is above 70%; otherwise, there’s a $35 fee if it’s between 10% and 70%.”

It's small but the customer service is exceptional. I mostly interact with Noah (he's amazing!) but the entire team is helpful and friendly. If you're between locations or companies, choose this one. The headache from other rental car companies is not worth the headache”

“I was born in San Francisco and have lived here a number of times. I always saw those cars but they seemed too tourist oriented. Coming back for a visit after 10 years and renting a GoCar to see the city was a lot of fun. My wife just laughed most of the time.
I recommend it as an option, if you have 3 hours to just hangout together and want a quick tour of the city.”
