It's just off San Carlos Ave. but you can't see it from San Carlos Ave.Parking: curbside, free.Market/convenience store: a surprisingly large assortment of:-beverages, alcoholic and non-alcoholic-snacks: potato chips, candies, small baked goods, etc.-dry and canned foods-toiletries/sundriesThere's even bagged ice!Everything was neatly arranged on the shelves, no dusty expired items.The lighting is brighter than before and plenty of roomin the aisles.Sandwich shop: I ordered a #2 Tuna Salad and a #5 Italian sandwich, both on Soft Sweet rolls (like French bread) and they have other choices too. He made them in the back room and wore gloves, clean and sanitary. They're made to order, not premade, and each sandwich was $13.99Credit cards are accepted.Ice cream shop: in the back room, featuring Mitchell's ice cream of SF. Not just scoops but also shakes, banana splits, sundaes, etc. I'll be back to get some!”

“Awesome market. I have been to the ones in Los Altos and San Mateo and now this one.. Love there specialty foods, deli , salad bar, soup bar,ect.Upstairs they have a coffee shop as well as a wonderful assortment of kitchen stuff.The employees here are real awesome and the store is kept well stocked and clean.”

“I discovered the "BEST" Vietnamese Pho in San Mateo. Lien truly makes the most delicious and flavorful chicken and seafood Pho rice noodle soups. I love how friendly Lien and Karen were when I visited Central Market. This little market/cafe gem is located on B Street and 6th Avenue in downtown San Mateo.”

“I love this station! I stopped there today around 11 a.m. to be greeted by Kevin, who pumped my gas and washed my windows at no charge. The gas is considerably cheaper than other stations in Soquel and Aptos, so the price is definitely right. BONUS: free coffee with gas purchase! If you're paying with a card, you can get gas 24/7 and the staff is so incredibly nice. Go here. I'm tellin ya, you won't regret it.”

“Today I went to get my car washed and interior cleaned .I told them what I wanted done .especially my I side windshield cleaned . The manager checked it when they were done. She gave them a few more instructions and the cleaned again . Then she approved the job. I have never had such sparkling nice wi Dias ever. I truly recommend this business they treated me with such kindness. No more jumping around from one place to another I will stay with them when I need a cleaning of my car”

“Let start off with the basics sandwich services, they are basic. The drink selection though is massive and they have some great mirco brews available that aren't at other retailers. They have other small market selections, chips and candies, etc . I would not call the place super nice but it is a decently stocked liquor store and deli. Staff was a nice once she warmed up and then she was great but it took a bit.”

“We live out in this boonies area and are largely happy to have not just one but two gas stations to choose from! Alices is our favorite. When other gas stations (especially down the hill) hiked up their prices during the recent heat wave, Alices kept their prices steady and sane. They are regularly among the most reasonably priced spots in the area, such that I sometimes take my chances driving up the mountain with the gas light on rather than fill up in the valley. This parking lot is bananas during the weekend, so your experience might be shaped by whether you're up here as a "weekend tourist" or around for the most relaxed M-F local scene.”

“Nice gas station in a convenient location for this neighborhood, or if you are driving down Foothill Expressway. This Shell has one of the cheapest prices in the area. (The cheaper one is the Shell on Fremont Ave. x Sunnyvale Saratoga.) This station is A LOT cheaper than the Shell further North the street on Miramonte and on the Shell on Grant Ave. as well. Station is clean and has convenient entrances and exits. There are 12 stations and in my many years of coming here I've never seen one out-of-service, so this station is well maintained as well. Storekeepers are nice. Squeegee/the window cleaner works well also! Sign up for Fuel Rewards and you can get 5 cents off per gallon!”

“I've been to Galamart many times, almost never for myself but on behalf of another. I like it and recommend you visit. Try a different wine every day and you'll need a few months. Blame the expansive selection. Prefer beer? Another couple. Liquor? Yes a couple more. If the booze hasn't become a problem but you're spinning and dehydrated try the non alcoholic refreshments. Variety up the loo la.My share would be incomplete if I failed to mention one of my favorite people works here. No matter how my day may have felt I'm left left with an improved outlook on life.Shameless and likely inappropriate of me to include is this thought; in the store today was one other person. “This review is for the car wash. 5 stars because it’s cheap ($13 for the premium wash), it’s fast (5 minutes start to finish, usually no line), and it gets the job done (my car is clean). If I had a super nice car and cared a bit more about avoiding micro scratches and achieving a head-turning shine I’d consider other options, but at least for now, this is exactly what I’m looking for.
