“I just got a new CPAP machine and didn't have any distilled water, and I was looking around the store for it but couldn't find any. I asked Jemma if she had any and she quickly went to the back and got me a brand new 1 gallon jug of it. She saved me!”
“SLO county is just filled with gas stations that have great breakfast burritos.
They’re famous for their asada breakfast burritos adding avocado.
There’s a seating area across the street where you can eat it
Also can stop by the bakery across the street to bring goodies home.
Overall solid breakfast burrito, great accompanying sauces.
Parking in front may be hard but plenty of street parking”
“I use points from shopping at Ralph's, so the fuel on most visits is cheaper than most places. The store's lot is small, but one is able to get in an out.”
“My favorite place to shop! The guys are very personable and the greet all of their regulars. Nice selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Good prices and easy access on and off the highway.”

“It always make me smile to see the employees of longs drugs on Maddonna Rd react to their customers. The store is very well organized which makes it easy to find what you are looking for. Thank you Cindy, Judy, and Jenica. Keep those smiles and we will keep coming back.”
“The pharmacist’s working here are amazing!! Today a wonderful pharmacist named Jackie rang me up and thoughtfully asked if she could help apply a coupon (total selfless question ) well Jackie applied this coupon and it saved me 300+ dollars !! I’m left will an awesome appreciation for this pharmacy and an outlook on paying it forward what a great day!”
“George in the pharmacy is always super nice and helpful, explains why meds aren’t ready yet which is rarely the fault of the kind people in the pharmacy.
Most of the regular cashiers are friendly and helpful in my experience and contribute to a pretty positive vibe :)
Store itself sometimes is out of things, but nothing that you can’t get elsewhere
Thank you guys!”
“Avila Beach Market has all the basic food items you might need, but expect a steep markup. Downstairs they’ve got a spot that serves açaí bowls, which are refreshing on a hot day. I got the açaí base with strawberries, granola, and banana. It was good.
If you’re in a pinch and need something in Avila, it’ll do the job.”
“Baywoods little liquor store sells drinks and snacks and so much more!!! Play the lottery here, or get your paycheck cashed. Buy some smokes and talk to some folks who will make you feel warm and welcome. Locals shop here daily for their needs, and around here, they take it SLO, there's no need to speed. A few things that you might want to know are: 1. You can purchase CA lottery scratcers here with your debit or credit card. It is the only store in Baywood and Los Osos that you can buy them without cash besides Shell on Los Osos Valley road. Be aware that they stop selling CA lottery tickets and scratches at 9:30pm a 1/2 hour before they close in the evenings at 10pm.
2. They have real slushies!!! Red,Blue, and purple flavors!!!! SERIOUSLY!!
3. Monday afternoon between around 1-5 pm this place gets really busy due to the amazing weekly local farmers market that happens right across the street. This is the only time that you may experience a line of people or a wait time of over, let's say... 5 minutes to be rung up for your items.
4. This place is very dog friendly. The whole town is. So it is common to see unattended dogs out front waiting for their human to finish yapping about the current events with one of the friends they come across. A lot of times, they will be unleashed, and that's no need for concern.
5. They do cash checks for a small fee. There are requirements for doing so, such as ID verification. Also, you can get cash back here for a service fee as well.
6. Several days a week, there is a food truck that uses the parking lot. They set up at certain times. I definitely see them there during events such as on the weekend when live music is playing across the street at the local bar (The Merrimaker) and the farmers market on Mondays.
7. This store has an impressive wine selection. Well... this is basicially wine country, so that makes sense.”
