βGolden Bear Food Center has seriously stepped it up! The new owners did an amazing job revamping the place, itβs super clean, the new decor looks great, and everything is so well-organized now.
The staff are awesome, really friendly and helpful. Every time I shop there, itβs a smooth and easy experience. You can tell they actually care about their customers.
If you havenβt been in a while, definitely check it out. The vibe is so much better now!β

βVery nice staff are here (who has worked here for almost 3 decades) helped bring me into βthe future.β He help me figure out how to use Apple Pay when I was far from home with no wallet. :-)Great neighborhood, right across from the Claremont hotel. Peteβs coffee nearby. Beautiful. Not as expensive as many even less beautiful neighborhoods. The station is impeccable. God bless.β

βJoel Leu, pharmacy manager during the week, is super-competent. He worked with me and my doc to get a vaccination authorized. It was an unusual situation, requiring finesse and patience. So grateful for him and the CVS team.β

βCame to get a smog check, the lady greeted me immediately when I pulled into the lot on a walk-in, took my information and got me in and out in a hurry. Great fast service, I'll for sure be back to 4 Less Smog Check!β
βExcellent service every time, and I mean from the first time I went there. They've been helpful and extremely courteous, not just to me, but to the other customers (even the ones that seem totally irrational ?).β
βI accidentally posted a 1 star review thinking this was the Chevron on the corner of Gilman/San Pablo (acorss the st). My apologies. This Chevron has always been great, polite, and clean service. I recommend this one over the one across the street.β
βAmazing service the guy at the register gave me %10 off and told me itβs under new management, so the prices was better. Am a complete fan of the new management they really look after you!β
βStopped by today for a few snack items. I got a banana and a yogurt drink for 3.99. The banana was fresh and the yogurt drink was good as well. The have a little section where they sell sandwiches and tamales. They have a wide variety of drinks and food items (both refrigerated, frozen, and dry). They also sell school supplies. I wish I had more time to look around but I will definitely visit again. Employees were kind and they take EBT!β

βcheck your receipts & bank statements!!! I just came home & happen to look at my bank account, noticed a peculiar charge on my CC for $48.00. Good thing I kept the paper receipt because I was over charged by $6. I'm not sure if it's a computer error or an employee is stealing. Either way, this is not acceptable. Was a clerical error, the owner was kind enough to explain that the attendant approved 45 in gas instead of 35 & assured me the remaining unused balance would be refunded to the card in a few days.β
βThey have a fun , friendly , almost everything store ( no beer )Great deals for everyone savings on cigs are the best in town . Great healthy foods n hot foods , y'all check it out .β

βI hesitate to share how great these guys are as they may get overwhelmed by customers fleeing other pharmacies. But in fairness, these folks answer the phone and work with you to resolve problems like getting approval and arranging for delivery. I'm so grateful.β

βI can't comment on the gas prices, but two hot dogs for a little over $2 and whatever toppings you want on them isn't bad at all when you're hungry. Great in a pinch and the staff is friendly enough, I will certainly be coming back whenever I'm stoned and craving a chili cheese dogβ
βI never leave a review but I felt like this pharmacyβs exceptional service and environment has to be expressed in anyway possible. I had a great experience during my externship at this pharmacy. The pharmacy manager Joel is an amazing pharmacist who would always go above and beyond to help customers. The stuff in general are so great. I have witnessed the best customer service and readiness to make every customerβs experience better. Highly recommended pharmacy.β

βOkay people are so mean of course gas station bathrooms suck it's like pretty normal. But all around I like this gas station. Never really crowded and the cashier's are super nice.only thing is you should change your open time to 5 am or change your times in Google to many people stop there at 5 and your not open.β
βThe man and woman who work here are friendly, and they have a wide variety of snacks and even fresh produce (avocado, onion, bananas, garlic, ginger). Highly recommend!β

βI recently tried the pizza from 7Eleven and I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised! The first thing that caught my attention was the great pricing - for the price, I wasn't expecting much, but boy was I wrong. The pizza had a decent taste, nothing out of this world, but definitely tasty enough to satisfy my pizza cravings. The dough was surprisingly fresh and had a nice crispy crust, while the toppings were flavorful and generously portioned. What I also appreciated was the convenience factor. Being able to grab a hot slice of pizza at any time of the day from my local 7Eleven was definitely a game changer for me. Overall, I would highly recommend trying the pizza from 7Eleven. It may not be the best pizza you've ever had, but for the price, it's definitely a good deal. Plus, the convenience factor is unbeatable. I will definitely be going back for more and trying out their other flavors as well!β

βIt was the most important night of my life. I had to finish a paper by morning and I knew 2 5-hour-energies would get me to where I needed to be.I walked in and grabbed a 5 hour energy.The man looked at me and shook his head from side to side. And then he pulled out a tiny blue bottle and said,- "this is what you need."Ok. I grew up on alladin and, forgive me for saying this but I've been waiting for a middle eastern man to hand me a bottle of potion ever since I was a kid.I accepted his recommendation, and requested two of the blue bottles. The man cautioned me, and said I should only take half the bottle at a time.I drank the whole bottle.My lips went numb. Idk what was in it, but the most important day of my life turned into the most important week of my life which, hopefully, you'll get to read all about,- next week.β

βOwner and employees are down to earth, straightforward and lively. Reminds me of the old neighbourhood Delis on the east coast with all the homemade food and local energy. They make things throughout the day and the swahi fish is delicious. If they run out they can make a fresh batch while you wait. If your thinking about getting fast food go here instead - itβs fast, fresh and much better.
Vegetarian options: Some assorted sides like dolmas,hummus, potatoes salad etc. but not really vegetarianβ
