Carmelita's Mexican Grill
575 Palm Canyon Dr, Borrego SpringsChose this place on a whim after hiking and seeing the wildflowers. Their Internet was down due to a sink leak so cash only when we went in, which was fine. The food itself was actually really well presented, hot, tasted great and was priced well. The building/physical aspect itself left a little more to be desired. I got a fork that was kinda dirty but I just cleaned it myself. For some reason the soda tasted so off I couldn't take more than 3 sips. My partner told me the men's bathroom was in disarray but the women's was alright. I'd give this place another try but I wouldn't bother with soda next time.
Food itself was great and decently authentic tasting though, no complaints there at all.

721 Ave Sureste, Borrego SpringsGreat service, beautiful atmosphere incl surrounding well manicured gardens. Terrific service both friendly and attentive. An impressive bloody mary with all the accutrements. Tasty pancakes with pecans. Biscuits and gravy avail in a half order. Happy with our order. Would eat here again!!
