I did the training myself but the bloodlines are definitely the best in the area. My dog has now hunted dove, quail, chuckar, pheasant, dove and geese. Thank you Raney Ranch!!

27413 CA-76, Santa YsabelThe staff are always friendly, cheerful, and quick. The food was great. I had the blackened chicken sandwich. Generously seasoned, fresh and generous veggies, tasty spread. My wife had the bbq Swiss burger. It looked equally as good and fresh. I wish I could remember the bands name! They were from back East and playing first on Saturday on Memeorial weekend. High energy, fun, and all around great band. I hated we were on a time crunch and had to leave when we did. They were cranking out all the hits and really getting the crowd going.

21976 CA-79, Santa YsabelThe store in Julian was sold out of baked pies and only has frozen unbaked pies so we went here as it was along our way and they’re also sold out of the baked pies (it was a Saturday). So we decided to get the pecan pie and we really loved it! It was not super sweet so even our “oldies” at home enjoyed the slice without complaining about the sugar ? My friend got the peach pie and told us it’s her family’s new favorite.
I like this shop better because it has more parking, spacious and you can enjoy a slice of pie al fresco. There was a line but the staff work fast to move it. They’re also nice and friendly.

Heroes Wood-Fired Pizza
4355 CA-78, Santa YsabelI got the jammin burger and coleslaw! Let me say I’m super picky about my coleslaw but this was home made and Soooo Goooood!!!! I’ve only gotten pizza but it has been years and they changed ownership and I wanted to try their burgers and it was ??. The were all so nice too.

30218 CA-78, Santa YsabelIts a good rest stop along the way, the inside has a good atmosphere, there is a variety of baked goods on display and what appears to be local displays as well, staff are friendly and professional, I had a breakfast sandwich and it looked fantastic and was filling, highly recommend if your passing through and need a break from the drive, give their drinks a try as well.
