“Had a very nice stay here meeting up for a girls trip this past weekend (3/23-3/24). Parking was convenient. Great location near the airport feasible to hang out up the coast or south of bay. The service was very friendly and the food and drinks at the bar were tastey! Would stay here again when I'm in town for business or pleasure! Thank you for the wonderful service ( thanks to the front desk service - an african american lady, sorry I forgot her name, extremely nice) Thanks again!Nearby activities: Suggest renting a car , super convenient to drive up the coast or down the coast.Food & drinks: Great restaurant and bar at the hotel, but also many additional options nearby.”

“I've stayed here a dozen times or more over the last 30 years. nice neighborhood. its absolutely totally fine. you can ding a hotel anywhere but for affordable nothing beats this and they are nice and have free parking and close to pier 39... haters should go stay at nearby $500 /night hotels and complain about those.”

The garden is lovely! Super friendly staff and comfortable rooms. It's an older building, so there are some quirks that come along with that, but it adds charm!”
“Had a wonderful six night stay at the Chancellor Hotel. Our room was spotlessly clean very comfortable with lots of thoughtful extras e.g. bath salts for the tub and lots of mirrors in the bathroom. The staff were all lovely, and very helpful. The coffee machine and cookies in reception were an added bonus!”

“This is my favorite hotel in San Francisco, I’ve stayed here many times. The rooms are spacious, the decor is understated and elegant, the staff is impeccable. There’s a Blue Bottle Coffee next-door and an Equinox in the building. A number of the nearby hotels are having union issues and there are a lot of protests -The Four Seasons had no such issues, so not only did I not cross a picket line, I had a quiet night’s sleep.
Food and drinks: The coffee at the hotel is just average so thankfully there is a blue bottle coffee shop next-door!”

“We’re a family of 4 and stayed at the argonaut for a few night visiting San Francisco in august. Overall, we had a very good experience. The beds are comfortable, the double quin room we got was roomy and the room had a nice design (but the view was practically not relevant). The hotel location is excellent with many cafes and restaurants around and the hotel staff was very accommodating and very helpful. We recommend this hotel.”

“Aside from one particular detail, I had a great stay here a couple months ago. They have great rooms and wonderful staff. Unfortunately there was one front desk employee who kept locking the hotel doors every evening, so I had to knock and wait when returning to my room late, and he also asked me to prove I was staying there by showing him my keycard when I returned between 10 and 11pm. As I was working in SF and attending work events late into the evening, it didn’t feel very nice to be treated like a criminal. I’m not sure if this is standard practice for this hotel (he didn’t ask any other guests for their keycard, and the other employees who worked late on other nights didn’t lock me out) but I hope they will change this, as it’s the main reason I would not stay here again.”
“The Marina Hotel is GORGEOUS. I love how the entire courtyard is surrounded by beautiful greenery and pretty things that fly, seeming as if the hotel is in the midst of being overtaken by nature.”

“Property is centrally located. Very neat and clean rooms. The movie kiosk/ mini theater was a good experience. Pop corn was served during movie. Even the coffee/tea hall is splendid in nature. Best place for brewing.
The only thing which hit me hard is charging of house keeping charges while check out. No mention what so ever was made while check in process or even during the stay. The price of suite which seemed to be cheaper became a night mare. This incidence lost all my cool and happiness factor.
Rest it is the most ideal place for short picnic to San Francisco.”

“Pretty decent stay with just a few issues for how much the hotel costs. Our room smelled with a strange odor the whole time. I assumed it would go away but it didn't. Also the bathroom is very nice and upgraded , but the shower head placement is terrible. It's at nose height (I'm average height), so you have duck in order to be under it. Employees are all very nice, but I wouldn't stay again unless addressed.”

The location, right in the middle of the park with Golden Gate views is absolutely spectacular. The hotel is beautifully designed, spotless, and peaceful. Staff are warm and welcoming. We loved the healthy breakfast, the cozy wine & cheese hour, and the all-day coffee & tea station. Truly a hidden gem in San Francisco! ??”

“It is what it is. Clean, good location, good value. But nothing fancy. The rooms are a little dated. The furniture is 20th century (including a clock radio with CD player). Carpet in our room was a little worn. Bed was a little bit hard with really flat pillows. But the place is well maintained. The area felt safe, although heard people yelling in the street in the middle of the night. Typical city sounds at night like sirens and street sweeper. It’s not high rise so will be close to street. The front desk is located in the first floor of the parking garage so we parked right by that. The location is good with some decent restaurants a 5 min walk away. No fitness center, pool or breakfast. There is a safe in the room, coffee maker, and iron. No fridge or microwave. Our room was spacious. The staff were all GREAT, from the front desk to housekeeping. Phat was especially helpful when we forgot some medication in our room.”

“Beautiful and unique bed and breakfast serviced and operated by the one and only Sheila Rubinson! She welcomes you into her home and will give you a beautiful and interesting tour before showing you your room. Had a very comfortable short stay here and would definitely come back again. Other guests were very pleasant and I enjoyed the breakfast as well too, though not a lot of vegetarian or vegan options. Beautiful garden in the back as well.”

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Regency Inn in San Bruno, and we can confidently say it exceeded all expectations. If you're looking for great value, spotless comfort, and genuinely warm hospitality, this is the place to stay.
The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the high quality of the rooms and service. It's hard to find accommodations this well-kept at such a good rate in the Bay Area!
The rooms were immaculate—modern, perfectly clean, and extremely comfortable. Everything was well-maintained, from the bedding to the bathrooms. It’s clear the staff takes real pride in keeping the rooms in top condition. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, which made it easy to get work done and stay connected throughout our stay.
One of the standout aspects was the attitude of the staff. Every team member we interacted with was friendly, helpful, and refreshingly upbeat. There was a great sense of humor and warmth that made the whole environment feel welcoming and relaxed.
A special thank-you goes to the hotel manager, who went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable. Whether it was offering local tips, helping with directions, or just checking in with a smile, their attentiveness and care truly made a difference.

“Comfortable Marriott beds, nice shower pressure and temperature. Included breakfast buffet was excellent. 10-15 minutes from the Airport. A few restaurants within walking distance. Noise from the highway isn't too noticeable outside the room windows. The full size fridge, microwave and 2 burner stove were useful to have.”

“This hotel is an exceptional value for the price. I knew from pictures it was an older motel-style hotel, but they've done a great job modernizing and equipping the rooms.
The hotel is in a safe, lively area with just about everything you need for a short or long stay. I'm in my 60s and was traveling alone and felt perfectly safe here. I walked everywhere and I'm so happy I chose this area rather than an overpriced, over-hyped hotel in the downtown area.
The hotel is quiet and the staff are all very friendly. I will stay here in the future and look forward to my next visit.”

“This place was pretty nice.
The person who made my mornings brighter was Fred, Fred was so upbeat, and welcoming. I truly hope he has the best of everything he ever wants or needs. My cons for this place was one the pool, it really needs to be updated, I was so looking forward to a nice swim but nope not in that pool I will pass. The second con for me was the elevators. Myself and my kiddos were on one and it started moving before the door closed. Not something I want to experience again. Lastly, the water in the shower was not very hot at all, and it started slowly losing pressure.”
