“Fun Fact this is a hidden trick at this PX you can actually take a Riggers Belt and just put it on and leave your MCCAP belt in the store and its totally cool. I used to shop here all the time back in 2008-2012 when i was with 1st Recon. You ARE authorized to tactically conceal anything you want in you're ruck sack or cargo pockets. I also recommend that you chow down while in the PX just make sure you clean up after yourself. Remember its NOT stealing its tactically acquiring what you and you're fellow Marines need. I never had any issues and neither did the other 150 Recon Marines who were with me.”

“This was my favorite commissary of all times before I moved to Menifee but I still like to go there periodically when I'm in the area because I like some of the people that are still there and have been there for a long time and it's good to see their faces. Especially my favorite bagger she is awesome”

“First time here, recommended by a friend. I don't have a WinCo by me in San Diego but I really wish there was. Big store, clean, organized & I like the price comparisons on some of if the end caps. I'll be back when I'm in the area again.”

“Remember when there were mom and pop corner grocery stores?
This one is the real deal. It is locally owned and operated. The prices are the best around. The employees are absolutely amazing. Big smiles all the time.
The produce guy knows what I like and points out things that he knows I will like. Their organic section is small but mighty, offering excellent prices.
The dairy guy also makes sure the products I’m looking for are there, along with a chit chat about what’s going on.
If you get a haircut, they notice.
You’ve been on vacation, they ask about your trip. Doesn’t get any better than this place!”

“We just stopped in here to check the place out. I am familiar with the amazing Promo Food Mart, which apparently is not related to this place (they have different websites).

It's very small and the walkways are tight, like maybe the width of two people. They have tons of raw meat & fish for sale, as well as prepared cooked food. They have a separate register for burrito, taco, and tamale orders. No need to pay $20 for a carne asada burrito anywhere else, they have them for $9.99 here. On Tuesdays and Fridays, tacos are $0.99.

We bought some shrimp ceviche and aguachiles. Both could have used a little more shrimp but the flavors were good. Can't wait to try the hot food next time.”

“So, I come by here 2 times/ week on my way home.
I moved here 3 yrs. ago and have enjoyed the friendliness of ALL the guys here AND good deals.
There has ALWAYS been what I need in a pinch!
Quick grub, absolutely every beverage known to man.
And they ALWAYS have 'buy 2 for X deal price' ; ends up cheaper than Supermarket.
Great place, guys. Thanks, CZH”

“It rained early morning, but when I got there at 11am, all the booths on the 2 blocks were there. The farm fresh veggies and plants were toward the east end, and the arts/crafts/clothing and prepared foods were on the west side. On this late November morning, I found a nice variety of fresh fruits and veggies--strawberries, blackberries, asian pears, romaine lettuce, slightly green mandarins (sweet with a slight fresh-picked tartness), baby boy choy, kabocha, butternut squash, etc.”

“This review is for Amy from the bakery department, she decorated my daughter’s birthday cake and did a phenomenal job on it! I am so happy with how it turned out, and my daughter is over the moon with the little hammy on top. I say give this girl a raise, she is awesome! Thank you so much Amy for making my daughter’s cake special.”

“The parking lot is pretty tight. The store is different from the other locations I'm used to, it feels like the layout is reversed and goes right to left instead of left to right.

It is generally well organized and clean, you can tell it's up kept or just has less traffic. The staff are friendly, I got rung up by a nice guy named Nicholas. They seem quick to open another line.

The important part: the Aisle of Shame is easy to browse and get through without being trashed. They must have someone going through often to fix it.”

“A standard grocery store, not usually very busy, and not offering self service checkout -- which is good and bad! I like that I recognize the checkers, and the lines are not usually long. They don't carry everything I need, but the butcher guys are super nice and helpful. Just a compliment on the flowers --- one or three times in ten, their $5 Friday bouquets are worth the trip. There have been a few bouquets that lasted over two weeks... totally random, but worth noting. Can't seem to add a photo, but lilies and roses were exquisite.”

“Pappy’s is the go-to neighborhood spot for everything from late-night eggs to a last-minute bottle of rosé at 11 PM. It’s the kind of place where you’ll walk in for one thing and walk out with an unexpected pair of sunglasses—all served up with a friendly smile.”

“Very nice store, great selection, even supplements, oils and herbs, but more expensive because it is not a big chain store. They offer coupon discounts like buy $100 and save $10 with the coupon, even online coupon works for the discount.”

“This place is so underrated for value. The only thing is the meat, which is much cheaper almost everywhere. But for drinks and snacks, you can't beat the prices here.”

4.3 Superb159 Reviews

“I love their meat department. Best around. Prices are great and they ALWAYS have what we need...without fail. Been shopping at stater bros for 25 years. Only wish they hadn't closed the store closer to us but still drive 15 mins to go to another store.”

“The guy in the deli who works 6 days a week prepares my salami like an angel. Its prrfectly sliced with the little wax paper thingies in between to keep the stack fresh. Now, if they, the albertsons inventory gods of dried meats brought back the primo taglio brand genoa salami from wherever they have recently permanently banished, I would be suspicious under the impression that it would indeed be too good to be true. Primo Taglio with the amazing job the deli guy does for me. Thank you awesome deli man. I hope primo taglio makes it way back to the genoa corner of the deli case.”

“I love this sprouts location. They are always nicely stocked, super helpful staff and fresh food choices. I love their sushi counter and everyone who works there. They have delicious sushi rolls and I love the other sushi counter items. The bun buns are amazing ! I love coming here weekly”

4.2 Good225 Reviews

“Really clean store. They do have self checkout. Of the 3 Albertsons in Oceanside, the one off of Mission Ave is the only one without selfcheckout. There's a gas station in the same shopping center along with a few other stores like T-mobile and Petsmart. There are plenty of items in stick. The front setup is a bit different, but I really like it.”

“4stars for overall staff, items in stock and cleanliness. Minus one star for one cashier who has far too many rules and will scare you right into tomorrow if you don’t follow them. Heads up: keep your hands to yourself and never put the 12 packs of soda on the belt. You’ve been warned.”

“My first time trying the most authentic Filipino food. Only 15 dollars for two main dishes and rice/noodles. I was able to use my Debit card for my payment. In general, it was soy sauce based with vinegar flavor. I am satisfied with the service and food. I would love to visit again next time!”

“Something about this grocery outlet, they do it right well stocked with things I need friendly staff clean store and spacious. Of all the grocery outlets in San Diego county I'd rate this one the best.”

“I love their customer service and the fact that they had the safety precautions like have to wear a mask, one way aisles, and maintain six feet from the start. I only wish more of their customers understood what one way means.”

“I love this tortilleria. The fact that I can custom order my masa for tamales without lard is amazing. So accommodating but you need to order ahead of time. I made the mistake of thinking I could handle my one woman tamale masa making show, I cannot. They pulled through for me at a crucial moment in my process.”

“Me and my wife went to rodeo market looking for pork belly slab. The customer service was great. They helped us and scheduled to pick up fresh pork belly next morning. Amazing staff! Amazing meat good great place.”

“My local Go-To.
They don't always have what I want, can't always get what I want, but are pretty darn solid and have [mostly] fair prices... subject to distributors, I'm sure”

“We had a party for one of our sons and got most of what we needed. They have a wide selection of food and paper supplies in bulk. The only thing they didn’t have was the long lighter stick to start a little fire from a distance vs the small lighters. I went to another establishment to find the long lighter stick for candles, chaffing dish fuel or fire place. I recommend this store for your party food supply needs.”
