“First time here, recommended by a friend. I don't have a WinCo by me in San Diego but I really wish there was. Big store, clean, organized & I like the price comparisons on some of if the end caps. I'll be back when I'm in the area again.”
“Was amazed how awesome this store is. I personally think it’s better than Whole Foods! There prices are fare n employees are friendly. I especially love their fresh seafood n steak. My favorite store now ??”
“Remember when there were mom and pop corner grocery stores?
This one is the real deal. It is locally owned and operated. The prices are the best around. The employees are absolutely amazing. Big smiles all the time.
The produce guy knows what I like and points out things that he knows I will like. Their organic section is small but mighty, offering excellent prices.
The dairy guy also makes sure the products I’m looking for are there, along with a chit chat about what’s going on.
If you get a haircut, they notice.
You’ve been on vacation, they ask about your trip. Doesn’t get any better than this place!”
“Love this place, they always have good selection of Ukrainian and Eastern European Food. Also they have interesting point programs- I get caviar
from it frequently ?”
“We just stopped in here to check the place out. I am familiar with the amazing Promo Food Mart, which apparently is not related to this place (they have different websites).
It's very small and the walkways are tight, like maybe the width of two people. They have tons of raw meat & fish for sale, as well as prepared cooked food. They have a separate register for burrito, taco, and tamale orders. No need to pay $20 for a carne asada burrito anywhere else, they have them for $9.99 here. On Tuesdays and Fridays, tacos are $0.99.
We bought some shrimp ceviche and aguachiles. Both could have used a little more shrimp but the flavors were good. Can't wait to try the hot food next time.”
“The parking lot is pretty tight. The store is different from the other locations I'm used to, it feels like the layout is reversed and goes right to left instead of left to right.
It is generally well organized and clean, you can tell it's up kept or just has less traffic. The staff are friendly, I got rung up by a nice guy named Nicholas. They seem quick to open another line.
The important part: the Aisle of Shame is easy to browse and get through without being trashed. They must have someone going through often to fix it.”
“I love this store! I like the layout and the variety. Ever since they had their remodel I’ve loved coming here. I like that they always has new items and the ready section is fresh and yummy.”
“I love coming here for the sandwiches. ? They offer gluten free bread. You can make it a meal with chips and a bottle of water. My favorites are the turkey or chicken salad sandwiches. Before I leave, I like to stop by the bulk bins and get a little chocolate for dessert.”
“It rained early morning, but when I got there at 11am, all the booths on the 2 blocks were there. The farm fresh veggies and plants were toward the east end, and the arts/crafts/clothing and prepared foods were on the west side. On this late November morning, I found a nice variety of fresh fruits and veggies--strawberries, blackberries, asian pears, romaine lettuce, slightly green mandarins (sweet with a slight fresh-picked tartness), baby boy choy, kabocha, butternut squash, etc.”
“Pappy’s is the go-to neighborhood spot for everything from late-night eggs to a last-minute bottle of rosé at 11 PM. It’s the kind of place where you’ll walk in for one thing and walk out with an unexpected pair of sunglasses—all served up with a friendly smile.”
“I go here 3/4 times a week with being open 24 hours that helps my crazy schedule and its employee owned I love here early am 4-6 or after 8. They may not offer all my favorite foods but one can’t beat the prices or the hours. You are remiss if don’t try and compare to wherever u choose to shop.”
“Really like this store overall — it has a great neighborhood grocery feel, the produce is consistently fresh, and the bakery does custom cakes which is a nice touch. The deli and bakery selections are on the smaller side, but what they carry is good quality. Clean store, friendly atmosphere.
One issue keeping this at 4 stars: the sale signs posted throughout the store don't always reflect what you're actually charged at checkout. Today I bought 4 twelve-packs of soda based on a Buy 2 Get 2 Free sign — my membership was accepted at checkout, but the discount didn't show up on my receipt. Still waiting on a resolution.
It's worth double-checking your receipt before you leave, especially on sale items. I'd bump this to 5 stars once the pricing consistency gets sorted out — the store itself genuinely deserves it.”
“Something about this grocery outlet, they do it right well stocked with things I need friendly staff clean store and spacious. Of all the grocery outlets in San Diego county I'd rate this one the best.”
“My first time trying the most authentic Filipino food. Only 15 dollars for two main dishes and rice/noodles. I was able to use my Debit card for my payment. In general, it was soy sauce based with vinegar flavor. I am satisfied with the service and food. I would love to visit again next time!”

“Excellent customer service & very friendly staff. We tend to shop here nearly monthly, for over a year now. We’ve never had a bad experience. Always happy we came back! They offer substitutes if something we ordered isn’t available. Occasionally they’ll throw in a free gift with purchase too. We love a business that gets to know you & remembers you too. Thank you!”

“This is the Vons where we go to the most. It has a pharmacy with very accommodative pharmacists. The store is close to the highway and major roads. I like the atmosphere and large aisles. It is very quiet inside which makes it easy to shop and find what you need. They also have a Starbucks inside as well for those coffee goers. The produce section is very large and nice. The parking lot is standard and easy to find good parking. This is a good bond grocery store.”
“The Store is Clean and has a good deli and a Bakery. I would like to compliment Jason (at the self check-out) for providing Excellent service each time. He is very Courteous and Efficient. He has outstanding Customer Service skills and is pleasant and helpful to everyone. I highly recommend this Store.”
“Nice change of name and layout happened after I visited last year. Good selection of liquor and beer and food. I stocked up for a few days while in town. I hear the deli has good sandwiches but I didn't try this time. Great staff and look forward to coming back again.”
“I like Smart& final. Surprisingly good selection of things. Good prices. Nice store. Nice people barking's even good. I'm going to keep going there”
“The market is pretty good. They had everything we needed to make all things Mexican. Of course the prices are a bit high, but it's a small local business. The food they make in house is decent at best, nothing spectacular. Haven't tried everything yet, but since I live 1 min from it, probably will eventually have everything they have to offer. Also, they didn't have tamales in the morning and I think their pan was baked the day before.. not to good not toooooo bad.The employees are the best actually.”
“The guys there so friendly & helpful every single time I go ! I actually have 4 other liquor stores closer to me and drive out further just because of how nice they are !! They’ve even ordered additional stuff for me that they didn’t typically have, I appreciate them so much !”
“Can you say everything under one roof? That's what this MCX has and in such a huge place, you should find something for everyone. As a Navy vet from LA, why drive all the way down to 32nd St NEX in SD when you can just visit MCB Camp Pendleton? I sure did and am happy to do so.”
“The store looks small from the outside but the inside is packed with all kinds of goodies. There are so many choices and brands of items it's great to just shop. The front counter lady is also very nice and friendly. I enjoyed my visit and got what I wanted fast and easy.”
“Five Stars!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️The Wisconsin Market is a staple of the Oceanside community, not only that, they are also STOCKED with an incredible selection of spirits, snacks, housewares, home goods, soft drinks, juice and even merchandise. It is a stellar example of being a community cornerstone. Make sure to say hello to the friendly staff and owner.”
“This is my go-to place for grocery shopping. They've always had what I need at a great price. A few considerations I have is that it's primarily a self-checkout location and parking can be a little difficult due to how tight the lot is. There's homeless generally hanging out near the entrance and at times Ive seen them using drugs. It wouldn't hurt to exercise some caution when they're in the area.”
“Clean and well organized Walmart. Didn’t really need help looking for the sunscreen section and I did notice that this Walmart did not have any cashiers open just the self checkouts. Quick and easy transaction, no issues whatsoever. Convenient store to grab everyday needs, especially when you’re on vacation.”
“If you’re looking for El Nopalito salsa, this is the wrong location—it’s another place with the same name. However, they do sell the El Nopalito chips at a better price than the other one! Very helpful service.”
“Great selection of fish and Filipino and Asian staples. I mainly go here for the fish, but I've visited to buy some lumpia and sauces as well. The way the fish counter works is you pick your fish and hand it to the fish cleaner behind the counter in the back. He hands you a ticket and you go to the front to pay. Return back with the receipt and collect your cleaned fish! You also have the option of them frying your fish for a fee - which really hits the spot on those warmer days.Highly recommend it here.”
“I came here to get some queso fresco from the market in the morning. When I approached an older lady who pretended like she didn't hear me, but was approached by a nice lady who asked me if I has taken a number yet. I said no and she politely helped me and was very happy compared to the first lady who ignored me. I hope that other people can learn customer service like the lady who served me. I wish I got her name.”
“This store has a huge variety of food products that are hard to find in other markets. There are a number of ready to heat and eat products that would be great for singles. You can always purchase plants like orchids there.”
