Then found me a brand new battery with 5 year warranty and installed it. Very cool and helpful dude. I would highly recommend this place. “This stop was unexpected. While in route to take care of my one errand a indicator light came on and I somehow didn't have my manual in my glove compartment so I took to YouTube. Found out I needed to check my coolant. Found the nearest auto place to me to avoid any damage due to prolonged driving. The staff were helpful and friendly. As I was purchasing the coolant they advised me to wait at least thirty minutes as a safety measure for the car to cook down and the coolant not explode from the combustion. A nearby Pupusas restaurant was recommended. How timely considering I hadn't eaten. I seem to be notorious for leaving the house on an empty stomach or having very little before leaving home. Anyhoo, Josiah an associate walked me to the Pupusa which was very close but I wasn't too familiar with the area. I ate, returned to the store and Josiah put the coolant in for me. Then I was off to make another stop before heading home. Thank you for taking exceptional care of me O'Reilly.”
“I moved into the neighborhood in 2002. Have been coming to this store since and have seen it ebb and flow over time. Some pretty picky people are writing reviews here, and they seem to have pretty high expectations for levels of knowledge and service. I say this as someone who restores old cars and is a good mechanic. For many people, a counter job like this is their first job. They are not auto mechanics, and no mechanic can know every answer for every car, although mechanic shops have reference material online that they pay for to look up answers for any car that might come in. Before you go in: Know your make/model/year and the size of the engine in your vehicle. Try to know what part you need or how to describe it or have a photo or take the part off and walk it in if you can. The service person is just like you. They're doing a job, and they need basic information to find you your answer. I have yet to meet anyone who wasn't working at that basic level, so the place gets 5 stars from me. Sometimes I know more than they do (usually, in fact) but that's OK. I go there for a solution - a car part. It is up to me to know enough to help them find it. Oreilly's parts are all over my cars, and they're doing a good job at very reasonable prices. Not sure what else one can really ask for (unless I read some of the crazy complaints like being upset that they don't know how to take a remote control apart to get the battery out - it's YOUR remote control, you idiot!).”
“I had a very stressful morning , my grandfathers tire popped , and he gave me a $100 bill to go buy him a tire patch , and when I get inside the store a great employee helped me find the tire patches , and when it was time to pay I only had my $100 my grandpa gave me and no card , and the employee by the name of Kylie went out of her way and payed for my item because they had no change ! she payed it out of her own debit card , she was very kind and very helpful . people like her should never go unnoticed she definitely deserves a raise , she is a great person and I will never forget this experience .”

“Haven't been here enough times to offer a fully qualified review, but I've always had a fairly good experience the few times I have visited this particular O'Reilly location. As a general rule, I find the staff to be helpful -- they are not always perfect, but O'Reilly does seem to hire people who know the difference between the water pump and the alternator on a car. And they seem to train them. And this O'Reilly location meets that expectation.”
“The only gripe I have with them is due to the rowdy customers they have, getting them to answer the phone and not forget you are on hold cab be difficult. I blame that on their location though. Otherwise they tend to be knowledgeable and helpful when you are in store.”

“The the hiring manager events don't want to hire nobody but Mexicans and only men he takes 8 Hour breaks he's never at the job I try to get a job he told the African-American manager no females I do believe the store manager is Barbara for the whole County she needs to be made available to talk to somebody about Vince unsafe hiring practices. He fired a female for having menstrual cramps. I am a man and don't understand why this mexican man will not hire nothing but mexican or Hispanic men. I needed a job but now I need a lawsuit. For unfair employment act. I have months and months going to purchase a car part and even help people put parts on their cars for nothing. Vince is the problem. Not the AFRICAN American man who says yheirs 2 positions one for a frmale and the other for a male”

“I came in here for some windshield wiper blades. As I started to look up the size I needed, a lady who worked there offered to look them up for me on her hand held pad. I only needed one, and the cheaper ones were not an option, so I got the Bosch brand. The place was pretty much empty, so the whole thing was only a few minutes, at least it seemed like that. Located in a small shopping center on Castro Valley Boulevard!!”
