“After soo long living in chula Vista, I finally came here to get meat for a gathering...the carne asada was ok, but the adobada meat I cooked for tacos on the BLACKSTONE had by far the best flavor from any other meat market around!”
“A fabulous gourmet supermarket. They have a buffet of vegetables, stews, olives, soups... all exquisite. You serve yourself, you pay at the register and you can eat at the bar that is in the same supermarket or you can eat at the tables in the square. I recommend it to you.”
“Fresh vegetables & fruit but the best part is the hot, prepared food & FRESHLY MADE FLOUR TORTILLAS. Grab some tortillas, beans, rice & your choice of meat & enjoy an affordable meal at home for a few days! Delicious.”
“The best small family owned business. They have a lot of last minute items we all mostly forget to buy when buying groceries at larger stores. Such as pickles, hamburger bread, condiments etc. They also have a small section with fresh fruits and veggies. The meat is always fresh and low prices. It's always clean and doesn't smell funny like most small markets do. The service is very friendly, helpful and super fast. Just a heads up the check out is a little tight. I recommend starting the line by the beer section if you're using a shopping cart. The parking lot just got expanded so there's more space available. EBT, WIC is accepted. ATM is available outside the store.”
“This store is just fun every time I go. You never know what you will find. They have groceries, toiletries and also random products. If you see something you like buy more than one because it may not be there next time you go.”

“Better quality meats and lower prices than at Vons. Besides, they have real butchers in the meat department that let you have the cuts of meats the way you want. Tender & more flavorful for sure! Friendy customer service as well!”
“Good customer service, cashiers are usually very nice and they give my boy stickers at checkout which is cool. The store itself is clean most of the time. Cart wipes are ALWAYS available for use. Been going to this location for years, and I'll keep going back! Unlike the Grossmont location- they're not as friendly or helpful.”

1850 Main Ct, Chula Vista“I loved this Aldi, it is far from home but I would definitely return, the products look fresh, they have a lot of variety, their prices are very accessible and convenient”
“Nice store with lots of quality items and some specialty items. I buy the Earth Balance butter here. It's a little pricey, but I can't find it anywhere else.”
9AM - 6PM
600 F St H, Chula Vista“This is my place to go to for some fresh fish to cook The owner is very friendly and informative about the kinds of fish he has and what is best for what you are cooking .”
“I'm going to write this only in English, because most hispanohablantes know that these small local markets like Sawaya and Garden Farms – with fresh-made tortillas, several varieties of fresh (not aged) cheese, and butchers – are veritable treasure troves of interesting and reasonably priced ingredients. The staff and customers I've encountered are always friendly and helpful. The parking lot at this location (there's another Sawaya 2 blocks north) is sometimes full, but there's parking on Broadway or Flower Street.”
“the cold Menudo soup was spoiled they didn’t has a correct package processor they just invented the exp dateF my break I drove back to returned it,they did not apologized andthey didn’t throw away the rest of menudo on the day I call to report this scary situation”
“Good prices and fresh fruit… friendly staff, and willing to help. They did not have bananas. However, they asked next door for the two boxes I needed. Make it easy for me ?? That’s a great customer service…”
7AM - 10PM
1058 3rd Ave, Chula Vista“Huge selection of authentic Mexican dishes. Has a huge section with fully prepared meals. A huge meat market area with some of the best marinated carne asada and also an amazing selection of shrimp or fish ceviches. So good. Oh yeah I forgot. They also have their own freshly made juices. I think they called fresca's”
6AM - 10PM
360 E H St, Chula Vista“Right off interstate 805. Perfect for buying last minute items for dinner. Prices are reasonable. It's like a mini Costco without the membership cost and long lines.”
7:30AM - 4:30PM
2260 Main St, Chula Vista“My secret to Mexican chicken and asada seasoning (hint also for many Mexican taqueros and restaurants) this place sells great bagged seasoning at an affordable price. Everyone always asks for my recipe it is El Ruisenor.”
“I stopped by this Aldi after spending the morning in Chula Vista to pick up some items on my way home. The place was not as busy as expected, so that was a good thing. I could tell, however, that the morning had already been through, given that a lot of items needed to be restocked. Luckily, most of the items I needed were in stock except for yellow potatoes and some breakfast sausage I wanted. I got my pastured raised eggs, sliced deli chicken, ham, lemons, and a few other items. Customer service at the register was good and quick. The young man helped me bag my items.”
6AM - 10PM
3141 Main St, Chula Vista“Not the BEST smart and final but still has pretty much everything you expect from a Smart and Final minus a little bit of variety. Staff is just as funky-fresh as they are at any other location, have fun attaching some sort of significance to that statement.”
“This is our neighborhood convenience store. And let's talk about convenience... they have it ALL! The gentlemen that work there are always very nice guys, and there hasn't been a single time that I went there for a last minute item for a recipe and they didn't have what we were looking for. It's so conveniently located for us not by any major grocery stores so it's nice because you're in and out with what you need. Items are a little bit more than a regular grocery store of course, but not overpriced like vons”
“I shop at Mirage all the time. The owners are nice (they started stocking diet tonic water for me). They have a good beer selection, but the potato chips are always stale, and pricey. The location is convenient to me. No place is perfect, but over the last four years, my husband and I have grown to be friends with the owners.”
“iPhone this location and asked do you have seated watermelons? They kept saying no I walked in the store and where do I see the watermelons the produce department needs to improve their customer service and care. All they did was show me that they do not care about their customers the rest of the store and the other staff members provided great that's why I can only give them a four star rating.”
“This store has a great variety of meats, and seafood. Place is clean and friendly customers service. I love there ceviche and guacamole, this is a must try, it’s fresh every Monday!!! I highly recommend this store.”
“This is a good place to get all kinds of natural supplements and fresh fruits and vegetables. You can also get chicken, beef, or seafood that is ready to cook. I recognize their citrus chicken!”
6AM - 11PM
2250 Otay Lakes Rd, Chula Vista“Well stocked, neat and clean. This grocery store has everything you could want or need for a one stop shop, even a pharmacy and a Starbucks. Bakery items are delicious. Sometimes lines can be long.”
“Algert Engineering has been a pleasure to work with. They were able to get to my project surveyed quickly and efficiently and with absolute expertise. Larry Algert's knowledge of San Diego County is extensive and his expertise is evident from the first conversation. I had some other questions that were related to land surveying and was very generous with his time to answer my questions. His staff was a joy to talk with and genuinely seem to like what they do. I will definitely be bringing my future projects for San Diego here.”
“First the name of the store has changed it is now Selecta International Food Market. They are awesome to get Puerto Rican ingredients. They have a good Goya section sadly it used to be larger but they made some interior changes and the section was made smaller. However that being said the absolutely necessary items are available and even frozen recaito. The service is fine and it is really quick and easy. Definitely recommend!”
“The 2 Brothers that work here are very courteous and friendly. I don't know what it is but, it is unusual to meet people so down to earth behind a liquor store counter. Great people and decent prices.”
