“I have owned five waterbeds in my lifetime. For many years had two set up in my home. In 1995, I moved and got rid of my furniture. Later, I moved and had to get a couple of regular mattresses. They were expensive. I actually got to check them out at the store. They were ordered and took a while to get. They were a disappointment and were like sleeping on the floor. They weren't good at replicating regular mattresses and it wasn't a discount store! For a few years I tried to find another waterbed, but it was impossible to find one. Finally, I found La Brie's Sleep Center in Citrus Heights/Sacramento. As soon as possible, I went down to La Brie's to check it out. Pete was amazing and his store had waterbeds set up on display! I wanted just a regular queen-size waterbed, and ordered a beautiful wood frame, regular waterbed, like a "model" that was on the floor. Meanwhile, Pete had ordered another display model and offered me the floor model for a very nice discount. I jumped on it because that meant I could have my bed immediately. I lived over an hour away, so I rented a van and came and got the bed. Now mind you, other than the first set up when my beds were new, I had always set up the beds myself, many times. This time though, I had trouble because of the tight space I was working in. Pete had offered to give me the name of an installer which I got at that time. The guy had surgery, so his son came and set it up within the week. They were as pleasant and professional as could be. They were filling the bed within a half hour. They offered to stay and finish up, but I let them go home. It was Friday! It cost a lot less than I had expected! Very reasonable! Totally pleased with their service. I absolutely love my waterbed! It's been a year since my purchase, and I could not have bought a more comfortable bed. It is easy to figure out the water level and heat setting if you haven't done it before. And you can always adjust a waterbed mattress, unlike a regular mattress. There are other types of waterbed mattresses, and I'm sure Pete can get those if that's what you prefer. I just like the regular mattresses. Pete knows everything there is about waterbeds and sells all the accessories. I asked him enough questions. The way other online companies described their waterbeds was confusing to me, and I was afraid to order anything. That's why it took me so long to make my purchase. It is better to come in person and see the beds.”
