PetSmart
17651 Colima Rd, City of IndustryI love the fact that Petsmart hosts pet adoption events so often. Last Saturday I went, there were two nonprofits with cute dogs and cats for adoption. I have two cats which were rescues. There are so many dogs and cats that need good homes. Please adopt from places like this rather than buying fancy pedigreed animals.

15806 Amar Rd, City of IndustryHave been taking my pets for yrs here. Great customer service. Easy interactive process by text. I would highly recommend to text, they respond quick. They are closed from 12-1:30 I believe. They've taken care of my fur babies for yrs. Even during Covid. Have had two losses and they have provided excellent care and explained the process thorough we even had our pets cremated which was provided by an outside service but they arranged which made it convenient.

Josephine's Special Empanadas
18204 Gale Ave Suite G, City of IndustryA family member brought these to a family party and I tried these for the very first time. PERFECTION The crust is tasty and thin! Most empanadas are way too thick so the meat ratio on these are amazing. I tried the chicken empanadas Inside: carrot / golden raisin / peas / diced potatoes / cabbage / chicken breast You appreciate the overall taste because they don't oversalt or over season the chicken which helps the golden raisins peas and carrots shine like they should. This is our new favorite empanada place. I just wish there was one in northern CA!

Happy Boba
655 Giano Ave, City of IndustryI'll be honest..I totally judged this place by the outside at first. But I'm glad we stopped in because it ended up being a great surprise. We ordered the iced Spanish latte, the peach black tea, and the peach oolong tea with lychee jelly. The Spanish latte was a 10/10 ..the perfect balance of espresso and sweetness. Both peach drinks were super refreshing and nicely sweetened as well. The service was friendly and welcoming, and the decor inside was fun and cheerful -the whole place has a really happy vibe. Definitely coming back!

ChaHalo 茶话弄 - Rowland Heights
17823 Colima Rd, City of IndustryTheir rock oolong tea is really something. Smooth, slightly earthy, and just hits the right note without feeling heavy—it’s got that vibe you want when you’re taking a pause. Tbh, the place felt pretty quiet while I was there, which worked for me. Service was chill, not overly chatty but attentive enough to make you feel sorted. Not much else caught my eye, but that tea? Would defo tell my friends to try it out if they’re into oolong.

Yumi Time
15261 Gale Ave, City of IndustryYumi Time is one of those low-key neighborhood spots that quietly wins you over with real comfort food and genuinely kind service. A Taiwanese homestyle flavors, and everything we tried tasted like it was cooked with patience instead of shortcuts.
The braised pork rice bowl was the first “okay, this is legit” moment. The pork was chopped into glossy, tender cubes with that rich soy-braised aroma, spooned generously over hot white rice. It hit the perfect balance of savory and slightly sweet, with enough collagen-y goodness to feel luxurious without being greasy. The little pop of bright pickles on the side (and fresh cilantro on top) kept each bite clean and addictive.
The noodle soup was just as satisfying. It came in a big metal bowl with a clear, comforting broth, loads of bean sprouts and greens, and a braised egg that tasted properly marinated. The noodles were light and slurpable, and the soup had that simple, clean depth that’s hard to get right—especially when you want something soothing but still flavorful. Add a touch of chili (if you like heat) and it becomes even more craveable.
We also ordered the braised pork knuckle bowl, and it’s absolutely worth it if you like melt-in-your-mouth texture. The skin and meat were tender, richly seasoned, and paired perfectly with rice, pickled ginger, and herbs. It’s hearty, satisfying, and the kind of dish that makes you slow down and enjoy the whole bowl.
Don’t skip the side dish with tofu puffs and cabbage—soft, spongey tofu that soaks up sauce, plus cabbage that stays crisp-tender. It’s a great add-on to balance the richer braised items.
Service was a highlight. Staff were warm, attentive, and quick to check in without hovering. Food came out fast, everything was neatly plated, and the overall vibe felt relaxed and welcoming. Portions were generous for the price, and the dishes all worked well family-style if you’re sharing.

Lao Liu Jia Restaurant
18207 Gale Ave, City of IndustryI had a busy day with my friends and didn’t have time to eat until 8pm. There were not many open restaurants. I decided to come here. It’s so cold. It’s so happy to eat grilled fish at Lao Liu’s house. I recommend this cucumber mixed with pig ears. It tastes delicious. Take care of the mandarin duck grilled fish. Got the taste of my Cantonese friends?

Phoenix Food Boutique - City of Industry
17575 Colima Rd D, City of IndustryI checked in the weekend of Father's Day and had such a wonderful experience! I normally don't like eating at Asian Restaurants because of the lack of cleanliness and warm hospitality but this Phoenix location really blew me away with it's exquisitely lovely design and amazing Food and Service. The whole store was sparkling clean, well stocked, and enthusiastically inviting upon my arrival!! The Restaurant had a gorgeous selection of artfully alluring desserts and fresh specialty drinks on display on my way to the dining room. Alisa presented me a beautifully designed colorful and neatly laminated Menu which was an excellent asset in helping me choose my meal for the late afternoon. I decided to try their Congee with the preserved egg and a side of Chinese Donuts. My food came out quick and exceeded my expectations wheh it came to presentation and taste!! I love how Phoenix shows so much respect to Congee by presenting it in an Elegantly shaped v shaped Black Bowl and how finely chopped and delicately seasoned the salted pork was. The preserved egg had a vibrantly artistic orange hue to it too that I wasn't expecting and I like how the Congee was garnished with fresh scallions! The Chinese Donuts were crispy, hot, and cut up in attractive and uniform bite size pieces too. I enjoyed my meal so much and loved that the Chefs and Alisa were of Cantonese heritage to enhance the Cultural Qi restoration of the experience! Alisa was so warm and lively to talk to, I told her my Mom recently left on a Vacation to China so I was looking for good spots to make Cantonese food that feels like home. The Phoenix Team definitely hit the spot and showed me how our favorite recipes can be elevated to the next level! I took pictures of the Congee and Chinese Donuts to show my Mom that I was being well taken care of by Phoenix and even picked up some Mango and Almond pudding on the way out for my Mexican Church Dad. Thank you to the Phoenix Team for giving me such a special and highly satisfying health restoration experience! Cantonese Food is such a refined and poetically Sexy Art Form and it makes me so happy to see a Restaurant sell the traditional delicacy of Congee and Chinese Donuts so well and make it easily affordable for the Community to enjoy!!! I definitely recommend you try Phoenix for your next Cultural Magic Carpet Adventure!
