4424 Peck Rd, El MonteThis is the first time that I was there. I have visited other pet stores, but this one was more friendlier,, a father and son team, worked there. Prices, were reasonable, very clean and that's kind of like what you look for in a pet store that is not smelly. This one was very nice. And my daughter funny, was able to walk in the chickens, coop and pick her own chickens, I guess because there was not a lot of people and she's older. Not recommended for younger ones, because they might get scared, but one of the people that worked. There was there, like supervising her which was okay with me. I was very happy with this experience. You could say it was therapeutic for my child.
I will definitely go back and purchase either. Feed or more life animals. Oh, I did not walk out of there empty handed my self. I bought two small plants :)

Their inventory is very well kept all cages and everything is covered with plastic so you’re not buying a new dirty cage. The workers are very cool people they helped with some tips on how to get my birds to breed. I’ll definitely be making this one of my go to shops.

10333 Garvey Ave, El MonteI had the pleasure of visiting this family run and owned restaurant. It was very spacious. Arrived about 30 to 45 minutes after opening so no one was there. So wait time was zero. The young lady that took our order was very pleasant, her father and mother work the kitchen. Tried the pan fried dumplings, pork dumplings, fries rice and hot tea. It was all delicious no complaints at all. I will be back to try the other items on the menu. I purchased a jar of their house chili crisp because it was that good. I would HIGHLY recommend this restaurant but I will NOT because then it will get too popular and will mke it difficult to find a table the next time I go. I want this place to myself. My secret dumpling restaurant that only I know about. So beware of visting this restaurant because you'll feel the same way.

Jasmine was floral and lavender wasn’t subtle. Originally concerned that the lavender wouldn’t pair well with the pineapple bun & was pleasantly surprised when it did. Worth a try!

9932 Garvey Ave, El MonteVery good place to get your Peruvian food fix. The menu is pretty diverse. We got the classic lomo saltado and tried the ceviche de pescado. They first gave us bread that was garlic bread surprisingly with the aji sauce. It was delicious and spicy and garlicky. The ceviche de pescado was excellent. It had that tangy citrus orange marinade with lime and with the nuts and corn nuts. The white fish was soft and cooked thoroughly and delicious. The lomo came out in huge portions that surprised me (basically two meals). The sauce and fries went well together with the onions rice and tomatoes. The meat was decent and it all went together well.
The table came in a lazy Susan style for family style sharing which is convenient. The waiter was very nice but not very attentive as we had to ask for water and check & boxes by intentionally getting their attention and walking to them for assistance. The decor is very chill and homely with a variety of music in the background. The whole place is very red and decorated with various Peruvian cultural references.
Prices are fairly reasonable for the portions you get.

11537 Garvey Ave, El MonteAmazing torta spot! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and made perfectly. The bread was soft, the ingredients tasted high quality, and the portions were great. You can tell they really care about the food they serve.
The staff was friendly, service was fast, and the whole experience was great from start to finish. Definitely one of the better torta places I’ve been to and I’ll absolutely be coming back again. Highly recommend if you’re craving a good authentic torta!

The shop started with an idea and it sold it to the fans. Brown sugar tofu is great probably thr best. Reminds me when I was young in Japan.
Decor is top notch. You can tell the owner is a huge fan and he caters to fans alike. Hes built strictly on passion.
Service is the best they can, drinks were consistent. Which says alot. Very satisfied.
The lines were long ( due to the fan base) but if you arrive before night its perfectly fine.
Parking is tight but we go for the experience.
Food well everything is soy milk derivative for the drinks. Which is interesting since this located in El Monte.
Maybe owner is lactose? As japanese we're not lactose. Honestly its fine but for a shop in the US where the fan base is a mix of non Asians and Asians alike. Shop would of been more successful with standard japanese style milk choices: Whole milk, 2% and 1.5. Would have a larger reach.
We appreciate this shop. It was great. Went many times. We'll see you again.
