7215 CA-49, LotusPassed thru for work. Looked up "restaurants" on my Apple Maps. Take A Bite popped up. I thought yeah, a sandwich sounds good. Stopped in, the deli counter is in the back left of the gas station. Everyone at the gas station was friendly btw. That's always assuring, especially as a woman traveling alone. I'm an herbivore. Black bean burger was a solid option but I was in the mood for a sandwich. I asked if I could trouble them for a toasted veggie sandwich. They delivered! I didn't catch the woman's name behind the grill, but she was very willing and accommodating. She didn't slap together a boring "lettuce tomato cheese onion" dry veggie sandwich. She put in some work for me and really doctored it up. Toasted it with cheese how I like, avocado, sautéed veggies, the whole nine! Now ~that~ is a veggie sandwich. I really appreciated it. Maybe her creation will make it as a new menu item? I vote yes. It would be a hit! For herbivores and omnivores alike ... Thanks for the hospitality and for upholding the true character of what small town delis are all about. I needed that.

7170 CA-49 #10, LotusThis place is awesome! Amazing food, great atmosphere, and the owners are awesome! Been by this place a million times, and stopped in for the first time today! Really not sure why anyone would have a negative review. This place is a local, super casual, real people owned sandwich shop! If you get a chance, check it out!
