“I don't know why this post office gets such bad reviews. Maybe they've had problems in the past, but the customer service staff in place now is always helpful, kind and professional. I'm usually there a few times a month for various types of mail services and I've never had a problem. Sometimes they get really busy depending on the time day or holiday season, but I either use the kiosk during those times or just try again a different day.”

“I didn’t know I would write a review for USPS. Everybody was so nice and thoughtful. I walked in for a passport. Made a few mistakes, but was in and out within 5 minutes. Even took passport photo and staff made sure I like the picture. My nearest USPS has a bad reputation. I’m so glad I drove extra to this location. Thank you everybody who helped me out!”

I have come to this post office for more than 20 years, beginning from the time I was a student at the nearby colleges. I have noticed how USPS head office have steadily reduced the staff, services, and capabilities here while the number of customers has remained the same or grown. Head Office has set up this post office and hundreds more like it to fail. Your unthoughtful complaints are not helping. Meanwhile, staff here struggle valiantly on. The staff are consistently friendly and helpful, always greeting customers with a smile. They’re very knowledgeable and often offer helpful tips to save time and money. For example, when I ship international packages, they’ll double-check the size and weight to see if there’s a more affordable shipping option, and they even recommend the most suitable packaging materials — incredibly thoughtful.

Even during busy hours, the lines move quickly. The team handles the crowd in an organized and respectful way, so you never feel rushed or ignored.

One thing that impressed me the most was how professionally they handle issues. Once, my package had a tracking delay. The clerk took the time to investigate, file a report, and reassured me that everything would be fine — and sure enough, the package arrived safely just a few days later.

The post office itself is clean and well-organized. Information is clearly posted, forms and pens are easy to find, and everything seems to be well-managed.

“It's a very small post office, right off Irwindale Ave and Arrow Hwy, on a side street directly across from a city park and the Irwindale Police Station. The parking lot has 4 spots, one is disabled only, however, there is parking permitted at it's curb on the street, which is why 4 stars. If you arrive at 2:00pm during weekdays, you'll have to come back at 2:30pm to allow the employees their lunch break. There's also the drive-up out-going stamped mailbox with the Priority Mailbox and Express in the parking area. It isn't as big as the Covina Post Office on Rimsdale or the West Covina P.O. nearby the West Covina Fashion Plaza which may discourage some but I find a bonus for no waiting, generally. It has a handicapped entrance and ramp next to disabled spot. And I've yet to see any of the postal employees being rude or unhelpful to any of the customers and there definitely is no woman by the door asking if you need stamps (really? it's so small, she'd get in the way if she existed) as one review claimed. I just like it because it's quick and easy if I need to go inside.”

“Great USPS location. Came here for my passport. Easy to make passport appointment online. Busy location but the staff is friendly and efficient. Lived in YL for many years and we never had mail issues but have lost 2 FedEx packages.”

“I see a lot of 1 star ratings for this location. I’d like to chime in with a 5 star for their post office especially. I am an online seller, and I have shipped over 30 packages with this location. Every single one has been delivered on time to the correct address. This location is also more feasible for me as I live near the mountain, and this is the closest option. I package and print/tape my mailing slips ahead of time, and I don’t mind if I’m out of ink, as each mailing slip printed at their location is one dollar, which is more affordable at times then a $30 ink cartridge. I have also had nothing but great service.”

“I'm surprised at all the negative comments. This PO has allowed me to stop getting in the long lines at one on Arrow. I've received only helpful assistance. Someone complained about only one person in line. If your definition of a great PO is to have a long line go to the one on Arrow. Please stay away from this nice little alternative.”

“Best usps than the one in College St. Asian lady gave me a receipt like she supposed to unlike the other branch. Love that they're open till 2pm here. Plus their customer service is better here than a lot of the other branches. Huge parking too.”

However, had no issues with my packages getting lost and staff has always been helpful.

I do dock 1 star for avaliable. On the local website page it says the kiosk is 24/7 that is not true. Also, the web page says PO box access until 3pm on Sunday. I've come multiple times and the door is locked. Pretty annoying.

But no issues to report other than that at this time.”
