Edit: It's been two years since I wrote this review and Google asked me to update it the same day they fired 12,000 employees. I can't imagine that's not a coincidence. Nevertheless, Safeway still continues to serve an FDA compliant product at slightly higher than market rate values. If that excites you, then you know what to do.”

“This pharmacy was the fastest and had the best customer service I have ever experienced with a pharmacy. We needed a prescription filled after being in the urgent care clinic while on vacation. Within 10 minutes of the end of our doctor appointment, the pharmacy tech had called us to let us know how soon the script would be filled and when they were closing for lunch. I would hands down come back here for all my prescriptions in the Bay Area. 10/10 recommend!”
“This location is really not a FedEx store so much as it is really just a department of the Walgreens store under which it is located. It doesn't really have a dedicated FedEx staff as near as I can tell in the only issue with that is that the photo department store people at the Walgreens have to seem to double as FedEx shippers. It is convenient though so not to take too much away from them, just don't expect full FedEx service at this location.”

“Rite Aid at the Roosevelt plaza is a great place to shop for any item you can think of and getting your prescription medicines. Everyone is very polite and will help with a pleasant attitude. I have been a Rite Aid customer since it was Thriftys in the Woodside Plaza…very pleased this store was built after being several grocery stores.”

“This Rite Aid is always clean and fantastic. I went to buy water and some other things I needed. Barbara was professional, lovely and helpful. They also have a great deal on Fuji water. Thrifty ice cream is a great value and the calories on the different flavors are listed. Not sure why most iles are almost empty recently.”

“Staff have been truly great.Their service is 5 stars — they solve problems, greet you, seem to be authentic, good humans.I think they are short-staffed in the pharmacy which is a management issue.I hate the new maze of telephone prompts when you call (again, management issue).App is pretty good but if you have a med on hold there is no way to unhold it except coming in person or calling and going through the phone maze.Also, one of the meds I had delivered never arrived, two weeks later. I called and they will have it ready for me to pick up tomorrow.Again, five stars for the staff there!”

“I received excellent service from a pharmacist named Christine today. Insurance had declined to cover the medication, and the cash price was $600... I declined to pay that, but after a week I realized I needed the medication so I came back resigned to pay the $600. Then a lady name Christina took my case and worked on her computer for a long time and was able to get it down to $200... She found a coupon card of some kind. So I'm very grateful for the excellent service I have received at CVS in San Carlos. I have also noted that they don't put you through the ringer as other pharmacies do for certain prescriptions.Thanks a lot guys!”

“I love this Safeway! It’s my favorite in the Bay Area since they stay open 24/7 they also have a hot food & a salads bar. The staff are always very friendly especially the “ice cream man” (I feel terrible but I’m drawing a blank on his name) but he is super friendly & very helpful & just fun to chat with especially when it’s 3am & barely any customers… he’s around cool.
I also love the large size of this Safeway! And now that San Mateo’s Safeway is no longer open 24/7 ? it appears that this is only one open all night so I ?? hoping that they don’t start closing this location especially since I’m nocturnal ?”
