She also helped calmly and even warmly ameliorate a miscommunication between her colleague (Joseph?) and me. Her wise intervention behind the scenes led to his seeking me out to apologize profusely, then thank me for my own kindness. “I tried returning the car to the Folsom location on Friday night and they were closed. Was able to drop off the car here no questions asked. Treatment was incredibly friendly and was able to remove the additional day for I wasn’t charged extra without much effort/ explanation. Would definitely return rental cars with them again.”

“I rented a 15-person passenger van through this office to shuttle some friends of mine from out of town around for the weekend. Pickup on Friday went smooth thanks to the friendly staff, and the van was great.
On Saturday night (in classic Oakland style) the catalytic converter was stolen. I had insurance, but was almost sure I wouldn’t get a comparable vehicle on such short notice for Sunday.
When I brought the van in to exchange first thing Sunday, the staff were extremely understanding and helpful, but initially didn’t have another van to give me. However, the service rep, Ella, noticed another 15-passenger van was due to be returned that morning. She processed the return on that van super fast so that me and my friends could get back on the road.

Very nice car, that has been washed and filled up before i picked it up.
Walked around the car with the staff to go around the scratches/dents that already existed to rule them out.
Carplay was installed for me by the staff.

“Used to rent from major car rental companies and was hesitant to try City Rent-A-Car. City Rent-A-Car service is fuss-free; they offer competitive rates; easy to locate car collection and most important, free late return till 11 pm at the same location where the car was picked up from the city. It is a pity that car offered were mostly compact, economy and mid-size, but it served its purpose. Due to its high frequency turn around daily, vehicle cleanliness can be improved but overall it is bearable. Highly recommended if you are looking for basic car rental to zip in and out of SF city daily without incurring the hefty overnight parking cost. Not forgetting friendly staffs Michael and Ogulcan.”

“Ran into a sudden severe snowstorm in Portland, Oregon where I had rented a car through Getaround. Had to have it towed back to the home zone. Called Getaround support and they worked hard and did their best to ensure a good experience for me regarding the rental and made sure I was safe. They promised over the phone everything would be worked out and they kept to their word. Five stars for ease of use of their platform and great customer service. -Jesse from Portland”
“I booked to pick up by 5pm but my flight came in early. I came at 2:30pm to see if I can pick up early. She said she doesn’t have the car I booked available yet (understandable) but she was able to accommodate with an alternative car. She was very friendly. Pick up and drop off was a breeze.
