“My parents and I both became FirstBank customers ‘back in the day’ when FirstBank took over Fidelity Federal Savings and Loan in Galesburg IL. My father, after retiring, used to walk up to the branch to conduct business (I was working overseas at that time) and talked to the staff as well as the branch manager (who was a girl I went to school with). He always spoke about how pleasant and helpful the staff was, and how they really DID appreciate his business. I too had checking, savings, and CDs with FirstBank, and that continued until 2005 when my parents had both died and I was living and working in the UK.
Roll the clock forward to 2026; I needed banking services as I had just moved to the San Fernando valley; I found FirstBank was operating here in CA and initiated contact. I have nothing but praise for the branch staff and manager - they have gone out of their way to provide assistance, guidance, and help to me during this period of readjustment; I cannot speak for others, but for me the Encino branch FirstBank staff exemplify the ‘customers first’ attitude that was experienced and seen by myself and my family way back before the turn of the century… and it IS appreciated!”
