I purchased 4 new tires from my go to guy for tires and asked him to refer me to someone he trusts. North County Wheels and Tires is spot on. I called to arrange the appointment. They are a busy shop so you definitely want to call. I'm sure they would still take care of you but the wait could be a while. They got me in out in no time at all. All four tires installed on my car. Clean, efficient and the establishment is very clean. They literally stand out above the rest. I will be going there for now on.
Unfortunately I was a little down in the dumps and sent my wife and son to pick up the car and they paid. And now I have to chase the guys down next week to buy them lunch because I swear they undercharged me.

“Just had a used tire put on my 2014 Explorer. All three the guys there were nice, helpful, pleasant and professional. It was a great price to take the old damaged tire off put the new/used tire on. They even checked the air pressure on the spare. The whole exchange took less than 30 minutes.
Had on four tires that were more than halfway worn down, and my daughter hit a curb hard enough to destroy the right front tire. Thankfully, the rim was not damaged, and they checked that out as well. The new tire looks better than the other three that are still on there. I might even go back and have them put the other three on.

“I wanted to leave a 5-star review for G & R Auto & Truck Repair after personally witnessing how professionally their team handled a really difficult situation during an emergency on the road.
I happened to be there while they were responding to the situation, and despite being aggressively yelled and cursed at by Gordon from Top Notch plumbing company out of escondidio that had called them out, the G & R Auto & Truck Repair mechanics remained calm, respectful, and professional the entire time.
They were already trying to handle an emergency roadside situation, and watching them keep their composure while someone was screaming, swearing, and speaking to them with absolutely no respect was genuinely impressive. They never escalated the situation and continued to handle themselves professionally.
I wasn't the customer and have no connection to G & R Auto & Truck Repair — I simply witnessed the entire interaction firsthand. Sometimes you learn the most about a business by seeing how its employees handle a difficult situation, and these guys handled it incredibly well.

“I used to go here often about 20-25 years ago. I just went back last week. Still same great, fast, and friendly service.
There is one tire bay and one guy usually. If there is a vehicle there, you may wait 15-20 minutes for your turn. But, they mount and balance then install your tire in less than 10 minutes.
I have only bought used tires here, and never paid more than $75 (that was last week on an suv) for one tire.
If you NEED a tire, and don't mind buying used, look no further.
THEY ARE CASH ONLY. They will let you go to the ATM. They will keep your license as collateral. Ask me how I know.”
“I had a very good experience here. I got inexpensive tires that are highly rated for a good price. Carlo noticed I need new brake pads as mine were worn down and installed new ones after showing me how worn they were. He did it for a very reasonable price. I will be back. My old mechanic sold his shop and I've been looking for a new one. I was fortunate to find him today. Definitely try this shop for tires or repairs.”
